Gustavo C. Román,Thomas K. Tatemichi,T. Erkinjuntti,Jeffrey L. Cummings,Joseph C. Masdeu,J. H. Garcia,L. Amaducci,J. M. Orgogozo,A. Brun,Albert Hofman,D. M. Moody,M. D. O’Brien,T. Yamaguchi,Jordan Grafman,B. P. Drayer,D. A. Bennett,Marc Fisher,J. Ogata,E. Kokmen,F. Bermejo,Philip A. Wolf,P. B. Gorelick,K. L. Bick,A. K. Pajeau,M. A. Bell,Charles DeCarli,A. Culebras,Amos D. Korczyn,J. Bogousslavsky,A. Hartmann,P. Scheinberg +30 more
TL;DR: These criteria for the diagnosis of vascular dementia are intended as a guide for case definition in neuroepidemiologic studies, stratified by levels of certainty (definite, probable, and possible).
Journal ArticleDOI
Sensitivity of revised diagnostic criteria for the behavioural variant of frontotemporal dementia.
Katya Rascovsky,John R. Hodges,David S. Knopman,Mario F. Mendez,Joel H. Kramer,John Neuhaus,John C. van Swieten,Harro Seelaar,Elise G.P. Dopper,Chiadi U. Onyike,Argye E. Hillis,Keith A. Josephs,Bradley F. Boeve,Andrew Kertesz,William W. Seeley,Katherine P. Rankin,Julene K. Johnson,Maria Luisa Gorno-Tempini,Howard J. Rosen,Caroline E. Prioleau-Latham,Albert Lee,Christopher M. Kipps,Christopher M. Kipps,Patricia Lillo,Olivier Piguet,Jonathan D. Rohrer,Martin N. Rossor,Jason D. Warren,Nick C. Fox,Douglas Galasko,David P. Salmon,Sandra E. Black,M.-Marsel Mesulam,Sandra Weintraub,Brad C. Dickerson,Janine Diehl-Schmid,Florence Pasquier,Vincent Deramecourt,Florence Lebert,Yolande A.L. Pijnenburg,Tiffany W. Chow,Facundo Manes,Jordan Grafman,Stefano F. Cappa,Morris Freedman,Murray Grossman,Bruce L. Miller +46 more
TL;DR: The revised criteria for behavioural variant frontotemporal dementia improve diagnostic accuracy compared with previously established criteria in a sample with known frontotmporal lobar degeneration and reflect the optimized diagnostic features, less restrictive exclusion features and a flexible structure that accommodates different initial clinical presentations.
Journal ArticleDOI
Clinical research criteria for the diagnosis of progressive supranuclear palsy (Steele-Richardson-Olszewski syndrome) Report of the NINDS-SPSP International Workshop*
Irene Litvan,Yves Agid,Donald B. Calne,G. Campbell,Bruno Dubois,Roger C. Duvoisin,Christopher G. Goetz,Lawrence I. Golbe,Jordan Grafman,John H. Growdon,Mark Hallett,Joseph Jankovic,Niall Quinn,Eva Tolosa,David S. Zee +14 more
TL;DR: Criteria that support the diagnosis of progressive supranuclear palsy, and that exclude diseases often confused with PSP, are presented.
Journal ArticleDOI
Activation of the primary visual cortex by Braille reading in blind subjects.
Norihiro Sadato,Alvaro Pascual-Leone,Jordan Grafman,Vicente Ibáñez,M.-P. Deiber,George Dold,Mark Hallett +6 more
TL;DR: In blind subjects, cortical areas normally reserved for vision may be activated by other sensory modalities, and positron emission tomography was used to determine whether the visual cortex receives input from the somatosensory system.
Journal ArticleDOI
Clock drawing in Alzheimer's disease. A novel measure of dementia severity.
Trey Sunderland,James L. Hill,Alan M. Mellow,Brian A. Lawlor,Joshua Gundersheimer,Paul A. Newhouse,Jordan Grafman +6 more
TL;DR: Although the Clock Drawing Test is certainly not a definitive indicator of Alzheimer's disease, the test is easy to administer and provides a useful measure of dementia severity for both research and office settings where sophisticated neuropsychological testing is not available.
