Abstract: El presente articulo aborda los diferentes referentes teoricos de aprendizaje organizacional desde dos rutas, del individuo a la organizacion y desde la perspectiva de la organizacion al individuo. Los hallazgos mas sobresalientes estan dirigidos a resaltar las orientaciones de cada uno de los autores concentrados por cluster, es asi como se observa que los diferentes autores presentan orientaciones a los procesos, capacidades individuales, cambios del entorno, trabajo en equipo y competitividad. Los aportes obtenidos consideran que el aprendizaje organizacional es un proceso antirutinario que permite crear, adquirir y transferir conocimiento, que siempre estara circunscrito a las capacidades internas que se desarrollan en el transcurso de la linea de tiempo donde se identificaran habilidades y posteriormente se gestan competencias de acuerdo con los requerimientos que presenten los diferentes entornos. El aprendizaje organizacional esta asociado tanto al cambio del comportamiento organizacional como la creacion de una base de conocimiento que la soporte.

Abstract: This article presents the analysis of gaps that keep the mango sector of the department of Sucre (Colombia) with little competitiveness and the identification of variables and strategic actors on which the manguiculturists could exert influence to promote positive development and thereby improve competitiveness. The article highlights the importance of adding value to the product from the field of quality management as a bet that the manguiculturists could take advantage of to position themselves inthe market.

Abstract: How have Japanese companies become world leaders in the automotive and electronics industries, among others? What is the secret of their success? Two leading Japanese business experts, Ikujiro Nonaka and Hirotaka Takeuchi, are the first to tie the success of Japanese companies to their ability to create new knowledge and use it to produce successful products and technologies. In The Knowledge-Creating Company, Nonaka and Takeuchi provide an inside look at how Japanese companies go about creating this new knowledge organizationally. The authors point out that there are two types of knowledge: explicit knowledge, contained in manuals and procedures, and tacit knowledge, learned only by experience, and communicated only indirectly, through metaphor and analogy. U.S. managers focus on explicit knowledge. The Japanese, on the other hand, focus on tacit knowledge. And this, the authors argue, is the key to their success--the Japanese have learned how to transform tacit into explicit knowledge. To explain how this is done--and illuminate Japanese business practices as they do so--the authors range from Greek philosophy to Zen Buddhism, from classical economists to modern management gurus, illustrating the theory of organizational knowledge creation with case studies drawn from such firms as Honda, Canon, Matsushita, NEC, Nissan, 3M, GE, and even the U.S. Marines. For instance, using Matsushita's development of the Home Bakery (the world's first fully automated bread-baking machine for home use), they show how tacit knowledge can be converted to explicit knowledge: when the designers couldn't perfect the dough kneading mechanism, a software programmer apprenticed herself withthe master baker at Osaka International Hotel, gained a tacit understanding of kneading, and then conveyed this information to the engineers. In addition, the authors show that, to create knowledge, the best management style is neither top-down nor bottom-up, but rather what they call "middle-up-down," in which the middle managers form a bridge between the ideals of top management and the chaotic realities of the frontline. As we make the turn into the 21st century, a new society is emerging. Peter Drucker calls it the "knowledge society," one that is drastically different from the "industrial society," and one in which acquiring and applying knowledge will become key competitive factors. Nonaka and Takeuchi go a step further, arguing that creating knowledge will become the key to sustaining a competitive advantage in the future. Because the competitive environment and customer preferences changes constantly, knowledge perishes quickly. With The Knowledge-Creating Company, managers have at their fingertips years of insight from Japanese firms that reveal how to create knowledge continuously, and how to exploit it to make successful new products, services, and systems.

Abstract: This work aims at presenting a reflection on the relationship between organizational learning and performance adopting the approach of dynamic learning capabilities. It considers different typologies that have been proposed in diverse studies to classify organizational learning by collective scope or individual level. Based on such typologies, the factors that affect the development of organizational learning are selected. This enabled to find the reasons why organizations should view learning as a platform for competitiveness and permanence over time. It is also a measure to ensure maintainability in dynamic and ever-changing environments. Regarding the method, a descriptive literature review of specific time periods was conducted to link OL, dynamic learning capabilities and performance. It used concepts related to the learning organization as a reference. In addition, it was based on the type of organizational learning and the (individual and collective) surrounding environment. Some considerations on organizational learning and business performance highlight the importance of OL for the approach of dynamic learning capabilities and its influence on performance. Finally, the significance of OL in business competitiveness was demonstrated at different levels and structures.

Abstract: There is evidence that indicate a positive relationship of learning orientation (LO) with organizational performance in SMEs of emerging economies. However, there are only few studies that investigate how each one of the dimensions of learning orientation (LO) contributes to variables of results such as competitiveness and organizational performance. The purpose of this study is to analyze the direct effects of each dimension of the construct (LO) with organizational performance and competitiveness, from a quantitative cross-sectional study implemented in 400 SMEs of Aguascalientes city, Mexico using SEM technique. The findings reveal that there is a direct and significant relationship between commitment to learning and shared vision with competitiveness; open-mindedness turned out to have a non-significant positive relationship with competitiveness. While the relationship of open-mindedness and commitment to learning have a positive and significant influence on organizational performance, not so shared vision that has a negative and significant influence on organizational performance. The originality of this paper, is that there is limited contributions of the relationship of LO with each dimension of competitiveness, and performance in SMEs worldwide. Among the implications found it is that the existing evidence may result different in other economies and large businesses.
