Comprehensive genomic characterization defines human glioblastoma genes and core pathways

Roger E. McLendon, +233 more
- 23 Oct 2008 -
TL;DR: The interim integrative analysis of DNA copy number, gene expression and DNA methylation aberrations in 206 glioblastomas reveals a link between MGMT promoter methylation and a hypermutator phenotype consequent to mismatch repair deficiency in treated gliobeasts, demonstrating that it can rapidly expand knowledge of the molecular basis of cancer.
Journal ArticleDOI

Individual recognition using gait energy image

TL;DR: Experimental results show that the proposed GEI is an effective and efficient gait representation for individual recognition, and the proposed approach achieves highly competitive performance with respect to the published gait recognition approaches.
Journal ArticleDOI

Fuzzy color histogram and its use in color image retrieval

TL;DR: A novel and fast approach for computing the membership values based on fuzzy c-means algorithm is introduced, called fuzzy color histogram (FCH), by considering the color similarity of each pixel's color associated to all the histogram bins through fuzzy-set membership function.
Journal ArticleDOI

Rotation-invariant and scale-invariant Gabor features for texture image retrieval

TL;DR: Simulation results clearly show that the proposed invariant Gabor representations and their extracted invariant features significantly outperform the conventional Gabor representation approach for rotation-invariant and scale-Invariant texture image retrieval.
Journal ArticleDOI

Fusion of color and infrared video for moving human detection

TL;DR: A hierarchical scheme to automatically find the correspondence between the preliminary human silhouettes extracted from synchronous color and thermal image sequences for image registration and human silhouette extraction is proposed.
