Abstract: One of important parts of every computer-aided multiple criteria decision support system is selection of a proper MCDM (Multiple Criteria Decision Making) method. WSM (Weighted Sum Model) and WPM (Weighted Product Model) are analyzed in the current research. The aim of the research is to measure the accuracy of the latter methods and to propose a method to increase the ranking accuracy of alternatives. It is proposed to apply joint WASPAS (Weighted Aggregates Sum Product Assessment) method. Methodology for evaluation of accuracy, based on initial criteria values, is developed. Optimization of weighted aggregated function is suggested, that enables to reach the highest accuracy of measurement. An example of application of the proposed methodology is presented. Abstract: A key factor to attain success in any discipline, especially in a field which requires handling large amounts of information and knowledge, is decision making. Most real-world decision-making problems involve a great variety of factors and aspects that should be considered. Making decisions in such environments can often be a difficult operation to perform. For this reason, we need multi-criteria decision-making (MCDM) methods and techniques, which can assist us for dealing with such complex problems. The aim of this paper is to present a new COmbinative Distance-based ASsessment (CODAS) method to handle MCDM problems. To determine the desirability of an alternative, this method uses the Euclidean distance as the primary and the Taxicab distance as the secondary measure, and these distances are calculated according to the negative- ideal point. The alternative which has greater distances is more desirable in the CODAS method. Some numerical examples are used to illustrate the process of the proposed method. We also perform a comparative sensitivity analysis to examine the results of CODAS and compare it by some existing MCDM methods. These analyses show that the proposed method is efficient, and the results are stable.

Abstract: The weighted aggregated sum product assessment is used to improve the accuracy of weighted sum and weighted product models.An extended version of weighted aggregated sum product assessment (WASPAS method) is proposed for soft computing.In the proposed WASPAS-IVIF method, the uncertainty is expressed by interval valued intuitionistic fuzzy numbers.Numerical example demonstrates strengths of combining IVIFS in handling uncertainty with the enhanced accuracy of WASPAS. Different methods are proposed in the framework of multi attribute utility theory for multi criteria decision making. Among the proposed methods, weighted sum and weighted product models (WSM and WPM) are well known and widely accepted. To improve the accuracy of WSM and WPM, the weighted aggregated sum product assessment (WASPAS) method was proposed which used an aggregation operator on WSM and WPM. In this paper, an extended version of WASPAS method is proposed which can be applied in uncertain decision making environment. In the proposed WASPAS-IVIF method, the uncertainty of decision maker(s) in stating their judgments and evaluations regard to criteria importance and/or alternatives performance on criteria are expressed by interval valued intuitionistic fuzzy numbers. Two numerical examples of ranking derelict buildings' redevelopment decisions and investment alternatives are presented. The results are then compared with the rankings provided by other methods such as TOPSIS-IVIF, COPRAS-IVIF and IFOWA. Combining the strengths of IVIFS in handling uncertainty with the enhanced accuracy of WASPAS makes the proposed method as a desirable method for multi criteria decision making in real world applications.

Abstract: The purpose of this article is to propose a fuzzy multi-attribute perfor- mance measurement (MAPM) framework using the merits of both a novel Weighted Aggregated Sum-Product Assessment method with Fuzzy values (WASPAS-F) and Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP). The object of this study is to select the best shopping centre construction site in Vilnius. A number of conflicting qualitative and quantitative attributes exist for evaluating alternative construction sites. Qualitative attributes are accompanied by ambiguities and vagueness. This makes fuzzy logic a more natural approach to this kind of multi-attribute decision making (MADM) prob- lems. Fuzzy AHP is applied for assigning weights of the attributes and WASPAS-F method is used to determine the most suitable alternative.

Abstract: Multi-Criteria Decision Aid (MCDA) or Multi-Criteria Decision Making (MCDM) methods have received much attention from researchers and practitioners in evaluating, assessing and ranking alternatives across diverse industries. Among numerous MCDA/MCDM methods developed to solve real-world decision problems, the Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (TOPSIS) continues to work satisfactorily across different application areas. In this paper, we conduct a state-of-the-art literature survey to taxonomize the research on TOPSIS applications and methodologies. The classification scheme for this review contains 266 scholarly papers from 103 journals since the year 2000, separated into nine application areas: (1) Supply Chain Management and Logistics, (2) Design, Engineering and Manufacturing Systems, (3) Business and Marketing Management, (4) Health, Safety and Environment Management, (5) Human Resources Management, (6) Energy Management, (7) Chemical Engineering, (8) Water Resources Management and (9) Other topics. Scholarly papers in the TOPSIS discipline are further interpreted based on (1) publication year, (2) publication journal, (3) authors' nationality and (4) other methods combined or compared with TOPSIS. We end our review paper with recommendations for future research in TOPSIS decision-making that is both forward-looking and practically oriented. This paper provides useful insights into the TOPSIS method and suggests a framework for future attempts in this area for academic researchers and practitioners.

Abstract: Historically, management theory has ignored the constraints imposed by the biophysical (natural) environment. Building upon resource-based theory, this article attempts to fill this void by proposing a natural-resource-based view of the firm—a theory of competitive advantage based upon the firm's relationship to the natural environment. It is composed of three interconnected strategies: pollution prevention, product stewardship, and sustainable development. Propositions are advanced for each of these strategies regarding key resource requirements and their contributions to sustained competitive advantage.

Abstract: The paper considers major principles of application of the multi‐attribute systems to solve legislative tasks. Abstract: Two decades was systematically reviewed on fuzzy MCDM techniques from 1994 to 2014.The database for review was 403 papers from more than 150 high-ranking journals.403 scholarly papers were grouped in four different main fields.Papers were classified based on utilizing, developing and proposing research papers. MCDM is considered as a complex decision-making tool involving both quantitative and qualitative factors. In recent years, several fuzzy FMCDM tools have been suggested to choosing the optimal probably options. The purpose of this paper is to review systematically the applications and methodologies of the fuzzy multi decision-making (FMCDM) techniques. This study reviewed a total of 403 papers published from 1994 to 2014 in more than 150 peer reviewed journals (extracted from online databases such as ScienceDirect, Springer, Emerald, Wiley, ProQuest, and Taylor & Francis). According to experts' opinions, these papers were grouped into four main fields: engineering, management and business, science, and technology. Furthermore, these papers were categorized based on authors, publication date, country of origin, methods, tools, and type of research (FMCDM utilizing research, FMCDM developing research, and FMCDM proposing research). The results of this study indicated that, in 2013, scholars have published papers more than other years. In addition, hybrid fuzzy MCDM in the integrated method and fuzzy AHP in the individual section were ranked as the first and second methods in use. Additionally, Taiwan was ranked as the first country that contributed to this survey, and engineering was ranked as the first field that has applied fuzzy DM tools and techniques.
