Conventional and modern markers of endometrial receptivity: a systematic review and meta-analysis.
Laurentiu Craciunas,Ioannis D. Gallos,Justin Chu,Tom Bourne,Siobhan Quenby,Jan J. Brosens,Arri Coomarasamy +6 more
TL;DR: The post-test probabilities from the analyses may be used in clinical practice to manage couples' expectations during fertility treatments (IUI and IVF), and it is proposed that various levels of endometrial receptivity exist within the window of implantation.
Journal ArticleDOI
A Randomized Trial of Progesterone in Women with Recurrent Miscarriages
Arri Coomarasamy,Helen M Williams,Ewa Truchanowicz,Paul T. Seed,Rachel Small,Siobhan Quenby,Pratima Gupta,Feroza Dawood,Yvonne E Koot,Ruth Bender Atik,Kitty W.M. Mol,Judith Moore,Jackie Ross,Lisa Sharpe,Jane Stewart,Nirmala Vaithilingam,Roy G. Farquharson,Mark D. Kilby,Yacoub Khalaf,Mariëtte Goddijn,Lesley Regan,Rajendra Rai +34 more
TL;DR: Progesterone therapy in the first trimester of pregnancy did not result in a significantly higher rate of live births among women with a history of unexplained recurrent miscarriages and there were no significant between-group differences in the rate of adverse events.
Journal ArticleDOI
The effect of endometriosis on in vitro fertilisation outcome: a systematic review and meta-analysis
TL;DR: There is uncertainty whether women with endometriosis have adverse pregnancy outcomes in in vitro fertilisation (IVF) treatment.
Journal ArticleDOI
Vitamin D and assisted reproductive treatment outcome: a systematic review and meta-analysis
Justin Chu,Ioannis D. Gallos,Aurelio Tobias,Bee K. Tan,Bee K. Tan,Abey Eapen,Aravinthan Coomarasamy +6 more
TL;DR: The results show that vitamin D deficiency and insufficiency could be important conditions to treat in women considering ARTs, and there is an association between vitamin D status and reproductive treatment outcomes achieved in women undergoing ART.
Journal ArticleDOI
PROMISE: first-trimester progesterone therapy in women with a history of unexplained recurrent miscarriages – a randomised, double-blind, placebo-controlled, international multicentre trial and economic evaluation
Arri Coomarasamy,Helen Williams,Ewa Truchanowicz,Paul T. Seed,Rachel Small,Siobhan Quenby,Pratima Gupta,Feroza Dawood,Yvonne E Koot,Ruth Bender Atik,Kitty W.M. Bloemenkamp,Rebecca Brady,Annette Briley,Rebecca Cavallaro,Ying Cheong,Justin Chu,Abey Eapen,Holly Essex,Ayman Ewies,Annemieke Hoek,Eugenie M. Kaaijk,Carolien A.M. Koks,Tin-Chiu Li,Marjory MacLean,Ben W.J. Mol,Judith Moore,Steve Parrott,Jackie Ross,Lisa Sharpe,Jane Stewart,Dominic Trépel,Nirmala Vaithilingam,Roy G. Farquharson,Mark D. Kilby,Yacoub Khalaf,Mariëtte Goddijn,Lesley Regan,Rajendra Rai +37 more
TL;DR: There is no evidence that first-trimester progesterone therapy improves outcomes in women with a history of unexplained RM, and future research could explore the efficacy of progestersone supplementation administered during the luteal phase of the menstrual cycle.
