TL;DR: Slip band extrusions are formed in cadmium, magnesium and titanium, but not in zinc as discussed by the authors, and they form preferentially in untwinned crystals.
Abstract: Slip band extrusions are formed in cadmium, magnesium and titanium, but not in zinc. The extrusions form preferentially in untwinned crystals. Filamentary growths occur at {10¯12} and {11¯21} twin interfaces during cyclic twinning.

TL;DR: In this paper, the flow behavior of γ/γʹ-strengthened Co-12Ti and Co- 12Ti-4Mo (at.%) alloys at room and elevated temperatures (up to 900°C) was investigated by electron microscopy and density functional theory.

TL;DR: In this paper, the cumulative strain in fatigue is obtained through Kocks' flow stress theory on a statistical distribution of obstacles, where the difference between monotonie and cyclic deformation is in the relative rate of accumulation of short and long range internal stresses.
