Mapping the human DC lineage through the integration of high-dimensional techniques
Peter See,Charles-Antoine Dutertre,Charles-Antoine Dutertre,Jinmiao Chen,Patrick Günther,Naomi McGovern,Sergio Erdal Irac,Merry Gunawan,Marc Beyer,Marc Beyer,Kristian Händler,Kaibo Duan,Hermi Sumatoh,Nicolas Ruffin,Mabel Jouve,Ester Gea-Mallorquí,Raoul C.M. Schultze,Joachim L. Schultze,Evan W. Newell,Florent Ginhoux +40 more
TL;DR: Two unbiased high-dimensional technologies are employed to characterize the human DC lineage from bone marrow to blood and provide new markers that can be used to identify unambiguously pre-DC from pDC, including CD33, CX3CR1, CD2, CD5, and CD327.
Journal ArticleDOI
Human fetal dendritic cells promote prenatal T-cell immune suppression through arginase-2

Newell,Jerry Kok Yen Chan,Florent Ginhoux +43 more
TL;DR: The results reveal a previously unappreciated role of dendritic cells within the developing fetus and indicate that they mediate homeostatic immune-suppressive responses during gestation.
Journal ArticleDOI
High Mitochondrial Respiration and Glycolytic Capacity Represent a Metabolic Phenotype of Human Tolerogenic Dendritic Cells
Frano Malinarich,Kaibo Duan,Raudhah Abdull Hamid,Au Bijin,Wu Xue Lin,Michael Poidinger,Anna-Marie Fairhurst,John E. Connolly,John E. Connolly,John E. Connolly +9 more
TL;DR: Overall, tolerogenic DCs show metabolic signatures of increased oxidative phosphorylation programing, a shift in redox state, and high plasticity for metabolic adaptation, which point to a mechanism for rapid genome-wide reprograming by modulation of underlying cellular metabolism during DC differentiation.
