The invention relates to a method for measuring the incidence point, incidence angle and delay of a small-angle longitudinal wave angle probe for a porcelain insulator. The method comprises the following steps: (1) selecting a transverse wave straight probe as a base probe; (2) manufacturing a special test block for the transverse wave straight probe; (3) measuring the incidence point and delay of the base transverse wave straight probe by virtue of the special test block for the transverse wave straight probe; (4) manufacturing a special test block for the small-angle longitudinal wave angle probe; and (5) measuring the incidence point and delay of the base transverse wave straight probe by virtue of the special test block for the transverse wave straight probe. According to the invention, the incidence point, delay and longitudinal wave incidence angle of the small-angle longitudinal wave angle probe can be measured conveniently, rapidly and accurately, the system error is less than 5%, and the accurate locating of defects can be realized after measured accurate data is input into a digital ultrasonic flaw detector.

PURPOSE:To confirm the braking positively in short time from a forward or a forward side position in front of an automobile side position in front of an automobile by disposing a braking display lamp at a position penetrable from the front or a front side position of the automobile body. CONSTITUTION:When the braking action of working a brake pedal is taken to stop an automobile or to reduce the speed, power is supplied to a braking display lamp 2 through a cable 2b and so it is lighted up along with an ordinary braking lamp behind and the lamp glows re<d, displaying that the automobile is in a braked state. This braking display is seen from a forward position through a front glass 4. The display is thus confirmed from outside in a region outside the automobile, i.e., from a distance forward or forward side position. In this case, height of the braking display is close to height of the face of an automobile driver and thus the driver and the braking display lap 2 are simultaneously discernable, so that mutual trust at the time of braking is enhanced. Light is then partly reflected at the front glass 4 so hat the display is also confirmed at the driver's seat.

PURPOSE:To enable the discrimination of flat defects roughly at the right angle to the bottom surface from other defects irrelevant to the thickness by providing two vibrators on the same probe so that a slant longitudinal wave and a slant hateral wave refractively enter a test piece at the same incident point. CONSTITUTION:A longitudinal wave vibrator 2 with the angle of refraction of 45 deg. and lateral wave vibrator 3 with the angle of refraction of 45 deg. are arranged in the same probe 1 so that the longitudinal ultrasonic beam 5 and the lateral ultrasonic wave 6 reflactively enter a steel material 4 at the same incident point 7. This enables the discrimination of vertical flat defects roughly at the right angle to the bottom surface of the steel material 4 from other defects irrelevant to the thickness.
