Journal ArticleDOI
Catalytic Reduction of Biomass-Derived Furanic Compounds with Hydrogen
TL;DR: In this paper, the reduction of 5-hydroxymethylfurfural (HMF) with H2 over heterogeneous catalysts is the simplest way to convert the oxygen-rich compounds.
Journal ArticleDOI
Glycerol conversion in the aqueous solution under hydrogen over Ru/C + an ion-exchange resin and its reaction mechanism
TL;DR: In this article, an ion exchange resin (Amberlyst), H2SO4(aq), and HCl(aq) was used for glycerol hydrogenation.
Journal ArticleDOI
Studies on Carbon Deposition in CO2Reforming of CH4over Nickel–Magnesia Solid Solution Catalysts
TL;DR: In this paper, carbon formation behavior under CH4-CO2 reaction and through CH4decomposition and CO disproportionation was investigated over Ni0.03Mg0.97O solid solution, supported Ni/MgO, and NiO-Al2O3catalysts by means of thermogravimetric analysis and transmission electron microscopy (TEM).
Journal ArticleDOI
Heterogeneous catalysis of the glycerol hydrogenolysis
TL;DR: In this paper, selective hydrogenolysis of glycerol has been attempted using several types of catalysts: non-noble metal catalysts, noble-metal catalysts with an acid as an additive, and metal-oxide-modified noble-metric catalysts.
Journal ArticleDOI
Direct hydrogenolysis of glycerol into 1,3-propanediol over rhenium-modified iridium catalyst
TL;DR: In this article, it was shown that 1,3-propanediol is produced by the attack of active hydrogen species on iridium metal to 1-glyceride species formed on the oxidized rhenium cluster.
