Journal ArticleDOI
Use of 3 tools to assess nutrition risk in the intensive care unit.
TL;DR: Traditional screening and assessment tools did not uniformly identify patients as malnourished or at nutrition risk in the ICU and therefore may be inappropriate for use in this population.
Journal ArticleDOI
Enteral Nutrition Formula Selection Current Evidence and Implications for Practice
TL;DR: With the vast number of products available, rising costs of healthcare, and the drive toward evidence-based practice, it is imperative that clinicians carefully consider research regarding use of specialty formulas, paying close attention to the quality, patient population, clinical end points, and cost.
Journal ArticleDOI
Modified ketogenic diets in adults with refractory epilepsy: Efficacious improvements in seizure frequency, seizure severity, and quality of life.
TL;DR: Modified ketogenic diet therapies reduce seizure frequency and severity and improve QOL among adults with DRE with few side effects outside of weight loss, a desired outcome among many adults with drug-resistant epilepsy.
Journal ArticleDOI
