TL;DR: In this paper, a vessel containing a slurry comprising a plurality of natural or synthetic polymer fibers and at least one suspension fluid, wherein the polymer fibers are substantially evenly dispersed and randomly oriented throughout the volume of the suspension fluid; applying a force, e.g., centrifugal, to said vessel containing said slurry, whereupon said force serves to cause said polymer fibers to migrate through the suspended fluid and amass at the furthest extent of the vessel, forming a polymer material, with said polymer material comprising polymer fibers of sufficient length and sufficiently viscous, interlaced
Abstract: This invention includes malleable, biodegradable, fibrous compositions for application to a tissue site in order to promote or facilitate new tissue growth. One aspect of this invention is a fibrous component that provides unique mechanical and physical properties. The invention may be created by providing a vessel containing a slurry, said slurry comprising a plurality of natural or synthetic polymer fibers and at least one suspension fluid, wherein the polymer fibers are substantially evenly dispersed and randomly oriented throughout the volume of the suspension fluid; applying a force, e.g., centrifugal, to said vessel containing said slurry, whereupon said force serves to cause said polymer fibers to migrate through the suspension fluid and amass at a furthest extent of the vessel, forming a polymer material, with said polymer material comprising polymer fibers of sufficient length and sufficiently viscous, interlaced, or interlocked to retard dissociation of said polymer fibers.

TL;DR: In this article, the authors present a control system for a rotating bowl and associated computerized systems for monitoring, diagnosing, operating and controlling various parameters and processes of the centrifuges.
Abstract: Centrifuges having a rotating bowl and associated computerized systems for monitoring, diagnosing, operating and controlling various parameters and processes of the centrifuges are presented. The computerized control system actuates at least one out of a plurality of control devices based on input from one or more monitoring sensors so as to provide real time continuous operational control. The monitoring sensors may sense process and other parameters and may be located both inside the centrifuge or bowl and outside the centrifuge or bowl and may monitor machine operation parameters and parameters related to the input and output streams of the centrifuge.

TL;DR: In this paper, a filtration system is provided with hollow membrane filter elements operable to remove solids, particulate and colloidal matter from a process fluid, and acoustic, vibration and ultrasonic energy may be used to clean exterior portions of the filter elements.
Abstract: A filtration system is provided with hollow membrane filter elements operable to remove solids, particulate and colloidal matter from a process fluid. Acoustic, vibration and ultrasonic energy may be used to clean exterior portions of the hollow membrane filter elements to allow substantially continuous filtration of process fluids. The filtration system may be satisfactorily used with process fluids having a relatively high concentrations of solids, particulate and colloidal matter.

TL;DR: In this article, the axial core and a plurality of guide blades connected to it are used to generate a turbulent flow of a fluid flowing in through the inlet opening into the housing in an inflow direction.
Abstract: A centrifugal-force separator for separating particles from a fluid has a housing having an inflow opening and an outflow opening. An axial core and a plurality of guide blades connected to the axial core are provided, wherein the axial core and the guide blades are disposed in the housing. The guide blades generate a turbulent flow of a fluid flowing in through the inlet opening into the housing in an inflow direction. The guide blades extend radially between a first helical line at the axial core and a second helical line at a housing wall of the housing. A first pitch of the first helical line is greater than a second pitch of the second helical line.

TL;DR: In this article, the authors provide an abstract to comply with the rules requiring an abstract which will allow a searcher or other reader to quickly ascertain the subject matter of the technical disclosure and is submitted with the understanding that it will not be used to interpret or limit the scope or meaning of the claims.
Abstract: Methods for automatically controlling a vibratory separator, e.g., but not limited to a shale shaker for processing drilling fluid, the methods in certain aspects including: introducing material to a vibratory separator; sensing with sensor apparatus a state parameter indicative of operation of the vibratory separator; providing a signal indicative of a value of said state parameter to control apparatus; and, with the control apparatus, automatically controlling the vibratory separator based on the level of the state parameter. This abstract is provided to comply with the rules requiring an abstract which will allow a searcher or other reader to quickly ascertain the subject matter of the technical disclosure and is submitted with the understanding that it will not be used to interpret or limit the scope or meaning of the claims, 37 CFR 1.72(b).
