Superthermal widths of the collision energy distributions in hot atom reactions
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors presented analytical expressions for the collision energy distribution and its width in hot atom reactions, adapted from those derived previously by Chantry, for the related context of ion-molecule reactions.
Journal ArticleDOI
Rotational and spin-orbit effects in the dynamics of O(3Pj) + hydrocarbon reactions: I. Experimental Results
TL;DR: In this paper, photolysis of NO2 has been combined with laser-induced fluorescence detection of the nascent OH product to investigate the dynamics of the reactions of O(3P) with a series of saturated hydrocarbons.
Journal ArticleDOI
Nanosegregation and Structuring in the Bulk and at the Surface of Ionic-Liquid Mixtures
Duncan W. Bruce,Christopher P. Cabry,José N. Canongia Lopes,José N. Canongia Lopes,Matthew L. Costen,Lucia D'Andrea,Isabelle Grillo,Brooks C. Marshall,Kenneth G. McKendrick,Timothy K. Minton,Simon Purcell,Sarah E. Rogers,John M. Slattery,Karina Shimizu,Karina Shimizu,Eric J. Smoll,Maria Antonia Tesa-Serrate +16 more
TL;DR: The first comprehensive investigation into the bulk and surface properties of IL mixtures formed from two commonly encountered ILs is presented, finding that the vacuum-IL interface is enriched significantly in C12 alkyl chains, even in mixtures low in the long-chain component.
Journal ArticleDOI
Dynamics of Inelastic Scattering of OH Radicals from Reactive and Inert Liquid Surfaces
TL;DR: In this paper, the inelastic scattering of gas-phase OH radicals from a liquid hydrocarbon and a liquid perfluorinated polyether (PFPE) has been investigated.
Journal ArticleDOI
The Dynamics of Reactions of O(3P) Atoms with Saturated Hydrocarbons and Related Compounds
TL;DR: In this paper, the experimental and theoretical work on the dynamics of reactions of O(3P) with saturated hydrocarbons and related systems is reviewed, focusing primarily on gas pha...
