Automatic calibration method using transmitting signals of an adaptive array for TDD systems

TL;DR: This correspondence proposes an automatic calibration method using transmitting signals (ACT) for adaptive base station antennas that is suitable for TDD communication systems, i.e., it enables real-time calibration.
Proceedings ArticleDOI

Opportunistic Interference Cancellation in Cognitive Radio Systems

TL;DR: This paper advocates that the SS should apply opportunistic interference cancellation (OIC) and decode the PS signal when such an opportunity is created by the rate selected in the PS and the power received from the PS, and derives the achievable data rate in the SS when OIC is applied.

Adaptive array antenna transceiver apparatus

TL;DR: An adaptive array antenna transceiver as discussed by the authors provides a local signal generator that outputs a signal having a frequency that corresponds to the difference between the reception frequency and the transmitting frequency; a coupler 15 that separates and extracts a part of the signals from the output of the transmitters 13; a switch 21 that selects the signal output from any one of the transters 13, a frequency converter 22 that converts the frequency of the signal selected by the switch 21; and a switch 23 that inputs signals output by the frequency converter 21 and selectively outputs them to any plurality of paths.
Proceedings ArticleDOI

Indoor positioning using a high-speed, fish-eye lens-equipped camera in Visible Light Communication

TL;DR: It is concluded that it is possible to determine a horizontal position within merely 10 cm, using the proposed method for determining the indoor position based on a Visible Light Communication system that uses a high-speed fish-eye lens-equipped camera.

Collision Detection Method Using Self Interference Cancelation for Random Access Multiuser MIMO

TL;DR: In this paper, an interference detection method for multiuser-multiple input multiple output (MU-MIMO) transmission, which utilizes periodical preamble signals in the frequency domain and the concept of full-duplex transmission when assuming idle antennas at the access point (AP) in MU MIMO, is proposed.
