Paul R. Hunter,Sara Hughes,Sarah Woodhouse,Qutub Syed,Neville Q. Verlander,Rachel M. Chalmers,Kenton L. Morgan,Gordon Nichols,Nicholas J. Beeching,Keith Osborn +9 more
TL;DR: Risk factors for Cryptosporidiosis in United Kingdom.
Journal ArticleDOI
Risk factors associated with clinical mastitis in low somatic cell count British dairy herds.
TL;DR: The study has identified areas of the environment in which efforts to improve hygiene should be focused in dairy farms with low bulk milk somatic cell counts and quantify risk factors associated with the incidence rate of clinical mastitis.
Journal ArticleDOI
A study of feline upper respiratory tract disease with reference to prevalence and risk factors for infection with feline calicivirus and feline herpesvirus.
Sarah Binns,Susan Dawson,A. J. Speakman,Luis E. Cuevas,C. A. Hart,C. J. Gaskell,Kenton L. Morgan,Rosalind M. Gaskell +7 more
TL;DR: A cross-sectional survey of a convenience sample of cats was carried out to determine the prevalence of and risk factors for respiratory tract disease, feline calicivirus (FCV) infection and feline herpesvirus (FHV) infections.
Journal ArticleDOI
Effects of temperature on the development and abundance of the sheep blowfly Lucilia sericata (Diptera: Calliphoridae)
TL;DR: A simple simulation model was developed and the number of flies estimated by the model to be available for capture, together with the temperature over each capture period determining adult activity levels, were able to account for 77% of the variance in L. sericata abundance observed over a season.
Journal ArticleDOI
Horse-level risk factors for fatal distal limb fracture in racing Thoroughbreds in the UK.
Tim D H Parkin,Peter D. Clegg,Nigel P. French,Christopher J. Proudman,Christopher M. Riggs,Ellen R. Singer,P. M. Webbon,Kenton L. Morgan +7 more
TL;DR: Modifications to training schedules, specifically within the first year of racing, may have a large impact on the risk of fatal distal limb fracture on the racecourse.
