TL;DR: In this paper, the authors reported the detection of an extremely intense radio burst from the Galactic magnetar SGR 1935+2154 using the Canadian Hydrogen Intensity Mapping Experiment (CHIME) FRB project.

TL;DR: Only one repeating fast radio burst has been localized, to an irregular dwarf galaxy; now another is found to come from a star-forming region of a nearby spiral galaxy, suggesting that repeating FRBs may have a wide range of luminosities, and originate from diverse host galaxies and local environments.
Journal ArticleDOI
An intensity map of hydrogen 21-cm emission at redshift z ≈ 0.8
TL;DR: A three-dimensional 21-cm intensity field is reported and neutral-hydrogen emission from the volumes surrounding about 10,000 galaxies (from the DEEP2 optical galaxy redshift survey) is co-added to detect the aggregate 21- cm glow at a significance of ∼4σ.
Journal ArticleDOI
A simulation-calibrated limit on the H i power spectrum from the GMRT Epoch of Reionization experiment
Gregory Paciga,Joshua G. Albert,Kevin Bandura,Kevin Bandura,Tzu-Ching Chang,Tzu-Ching Chang,Yashwant Gupta,Christopher M. Hirata,Julia Odegova,Ue-Li Pen,Jeffrey B. Peterson,Jayanta Roy,J. Richard Shaw,Kris Sigurdson,Tabitha Voytek +14 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors explored the use of a singular value decomposition to remove foregrounds with fewer assumptions about the foreground structure and provided a revised measurement of a 2σ upper limit at (248 mK)^2 for k = 0.6.
