Medication adherence patterns in aortic dissection survivors.
Ashish Chaddha,Steven R. Erickson,Eva Kline-Rogers,Daniel G. Montgomery,Elise M. Woznicki,Justin Jabara,Kim A. Eagle +6 more
TL;DR: The medication adherence rate for patients who survived an AAD was 64 per cent at a median of 7.1 yr after discharge, as per the Morisky scale, and medication non-adherence was associated with increased follow up recurrence of chest pain at one year of follow up.
Journal ArticleDOI

Adelyn Beil,Whitney E. Hornsby,Wendy R. Uhlmann,Rajani Aatre,Patricia Arscott,Brooke N. Wolford,Kim A. Eagle,Bo Yang,Jennifer McNamara,Cristen J. Willer,J. Scott Roberts +10 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors implemented disclosure of pathogenic variants to thoracic aortic dissection biobank participants and evaluated the impact and costs, including confirmatory genetic testing in a Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA)-certified laboratory.
Journal ArticleDOI

Journal ArticleDOI
Resistant hypertension: a frequent and ominous finding among hypertensive patients with atherothrombosis
Dharam J. Kumbhani,Philippe Steg,Christopher P. Cannon,Kim A. Eagle,Sidney C. Smith,Kevin Crowley,Shinya Goto,Erik Magnus Ohman,George L. Bakris,Todd S. Perlstein,Scott Kinlay,Deepak L. Bhatt +11 more
TL;DR: Patients with resistant hypertension (RH) represent a high-risk subset of patients with hypertension (HTN) and the prevalence and impact on long-term adverse outcomes of RH in stable hypertensive outpatients with risk factors for or established atherothombotic disease is identified.
