Abstract: The present invention relates to a device for monitoring the insulation state of a cable by measuring leakage current of a component corresponding to overlapping signal voltage between a cable shielding ground line and an earth ground line by overlapping signal voltage of another component (including direction current) different from a power frequency to a prevailing alternative voltage system bus bar or overlapping signal voltage of another component (including direction current) different from a power frequency to the cable shielding ground line in a live wire state in which power is being supplied and a monitoring method thereof The device for monitoring the insulation state of a cable in a live wire state and a monitoring method thereof measure humidity, suspend or discard insulation resistance data if the humidity exceeds a predefined reference humidity value, or enable a cable manager to easily identify the state of a cable based on the measured humidity even if the insulation resistance value of an insulation layer or anti-corrosion layer varies [Reference numerals] (510) Insulation measurement unit; (530) Control processing unit; (540) I/O unit; (545) Data storage unit; (550) Data display unit; (555) Insulation calculation unit

Abstract: The invention discloses an online monitoring system for a power cable. The monitoring system is used for monitoring the operation state of the power cable. The system comprises a power frequency micro-signal processing and measuring unit set, a PCI data acquisition card array and a monitoring and early-warning server, wherein the power frequency micro-signal processing and measuring unit set comprises power frequency micro-signal processing measurement units which match the number of the to-be-monitored power cables. Each power frequency micro-signal processing measurement unit acquires the electrical performance parameter of the corresponding power cable. The PCI data acquisition card array receives the electrical performance parameter which is acquired by each power frequency micro-signal processing measurement unit, and transmits the acquired electrical performance parameter to the monitoring and early-warning server. The monitoring and early-warning server calculates the electricalperformance index data of each power cable according to the received electrical performance parameter which corresponds with each power cable.
