Journal ArticleDOI

Identifying interactions in mixed and noisy complex systems.

TL;DR: A blind source separation technique is proposed that diagonalizes antisymmetrized cross-correlation or cross-spectral matrices and the resulting decomposition finds truly interacting subsystems blindly and suppresses any spurious interaction stemming from the mixture.
Journal ArticleDOI

EEG-based BCI for the linear control of an upper-limb neuroprosthesis

TL;DR: A feasibility study in which healthy users were able to use a non-invasive Motor Imagery-based brain computer interface (BCI) to achieve linear control of an upper-limb functional electrical stimulation (FES) controlled neuro-prosthesis.
Proceedings ArticleDOI

Efficient Compression of Multi-View Depth Data Based on MVC

TL;DR: Results show that additionally applying inter-view prediction to temporal prediction with hierarchical B pictures improves coding efficiency for depth as well as color, reporting average gains in PSNR-Y of 0.5 dB for depth and 0.3 dB for color.
Book ChapterDOI

Approximate Joint Diagonalization Using a Natural Gradient Approach

TL;DR: In this paper, a non-unitary approximate joint diagonalization (AJD) algorithm is proposed, which is based on a natural gradient-type multi-plicative update of the diagonalizing matrix.
