55Mn ENDOR of the S2-State Multiline EPR Signal of Photosystem II: Implications on the Structure of the Tetranuclear Mn Cluster

TL;DR: In this article, the authors show that four effective 55Mn hyperfine tensors (AX, AY, AZ) are required to properly simulate the experimental data and further show that these effective tensors are best supported by a trimer/monomer arrangement of three Mn(IV) ions and one Mn(III) ion.
Journal ArticleDOI

Recent pulsed EPR studies of the photosystem II oxygen-evolving complex: implications as to water oxidation mechanisms.

TL;DR: These pulsed EPR results are used in an evaluation of several recently proposed mechanisms for PSII water oxidation, and strongly favor mechanistic models where the substrate waters bind within the OEC early in the S-state cycle.

Silver-selenide/chalcogenide glass stack for resistance variable memory

TL;DR: In this paper, a resistance variable memory element is provided having at least one silver-selenide layer (18) in between glass layers(17, 20, 21) and a chalcogenide glass, preferably having GexSe100-x composition.

Stoichiometry for chalcogenide glasses useful for memory devices and method of formation

TL;DR: A method of forming resistance changing elements with improved operational characteristics for use in memory devices and the resulting structures are disclosed in this article, where a chalcogenide glass having the formula (Ge x 1 Se 1−x1 ) 1−y1 Ag y1, wherein 18 ≦x l ≦28, or the formula(Ge x 2 Se l−x2 )1−y2 Ag y2, wherein 39 ≦ex 2 ≦42, and wherein in both the silver is in a concentration which maintains the germanium selenide
Journal ArticleDOI

Dual-Mode EPR Study of Mn(III) Salen and the Mn(III) Salen-Catalyzed Epoxidation of cis-β-Methylstyrene

TL;DR: The study revealed the formation of a Mn(III,IV) dinuclear cluster in direct correlation with expoxide formation and offers insight into the mechanism of catalyst degradation and formation of unwanted byproducts.
