TL;DR: In this article, a dental impression tray consisting of an impression frame which forms an impression material filling unit and opens an upper side and a lower side thereof, in order to perform impression of upper and lower teeth at the same time, is described.
Abstract: Disclosed is a dental impression tray comprising: an impression frame which forms an impression material filling unit and opens an upper side and a lower side thereof, in order to perform impression of upper and lower teeth at the same time; and a handle which is provided with the impression frame. The impression frame comprises: an outer frame which is an arch type and forms one side wall of the impression material filling unit; an inner frame which is provided inside the outer frame to be away from the outer frame at a distance, and forms the other side wall of the impression material filling unit; a base frame which forms a boundary separating an upper impression unit for upper teeth impression from a lower impression unit for lower teeth impression in an inner space of the impression frame, crosses an area between the outer frame and the inner frame to integrally connect the outer and inner frames, and forms a communication path between the upper impression unit and the lower impression unit; and a cutting reference mark which forms a cutting reference of the impression frame at the height away from the base frame at a distance and along the longitudinal direction of the impression frame. According to the present invention, upper and lower teeth can be molded as occlusal relationships at the same time, and furthermore, impression materials can be prevented from being separated, such that impressions of upper and lower teeth can be quickly and accurately gained, and a success rate of the impression gain can be greatly improved.

TL;DR: In this paper, a method for manufacturing a mouthpiece of structure which is capable of alleviating an impact applied to teeth, gives smooth wearing sensation, and has improved structural stability and durability is presented.
Abstract: The present invention discloses a method for manufacturing a mouthpiece in which a tooth groove is formed such that teeth forming a dental arch are inserted into the tooth groove, and the tooth groove covers an end surface of a dental crown engaging with a counter tooth of the teeth, and the mouthpiece manufactured using the method. The purpose of the present invention is to provide a method for manufacturing a mouthpiece of structure which is capable of alleviating an impact applied to teeth, gives smooth wearing sensation, and has improved structural stability and durability, and the mouthpiece manufactured using the method. A method for manufacturing a mouthpiece according to the present invention comprises: a step (a) of molding a multilayered core frame including a rigid core layer which forms a bottom surface of the tooth groove, and a soft core layer which is formed on an outer part of the rigid core layer; and a step (b) of forming a multilayered tooth frame on an outer part of the core frame, the multilayered tooth frame including a first sidewall and a second sidewall which form both sidewalls of the tooth groove by laminating a multilayered cover sheet onto the core frame, and a home base which covers the core frame by connecting the first sidewall and the second sidewall. The step (b) comprises a step (b1) of integrally fusing the second surface layer and the soft core layer by laminating the cover sheet including a rigid first surface layer which forms one side surface of the cover sheet and a second surface layer which forms other side surface of the cover sheet as the same material as the soft core layer onto an outer part of the core frame.

TL;DR: In this article, a maxillary expansion device having a triple screw system for rapid palatal expansion is presented. But the system is laterally asymmetric and the size of the expansion screw required to obtain a desired amount of expansion can be hardly positioned.
Abstract: The present invention relates to a maxillary expansion device having a triple screw system for rapid palatal expansion. In the case of narrow and constricted maxillary arches requiring rapid palatal expansion, an expansion screw that is large enough to obtain a desired amount of expansion can be hardly positioned and new device preparation and repetition of procedures are required for additional expansion. The present invention is to deal with an increase in cost and hassles attributable to those requirements and allow adjustment of the amount of palatal expansion that is laterally asymmetrical. The present invention includes: a pair of left main bodies; a pair of right main bodies; a first expansion screw having both side portions inserted to penetrate the left main bodies and the right main bodies and adjusting a gap between the left main bodies and the right main bodies; a second expansion screw having both side portions inserted to penetrate the left main bodies and adjusting a gap between the left main bodies; and a third expansion screw having both side portions inserted to penetrate the right main bodies and adjusting a gap between the right main bodies.

TL;DR: In this paper, an arch-shaped guard frame where a tooth groove is formed for tooth insertion and a guard cover stacked on the outer surface of the guard frame was presented, which can be worn in a soft way, is capable of minimizing irritation, and can be manufactured with ease.
Abstract: The present invention relates to a mouth guard including: an arch-shaped guard frame where a tooth groove is formed for tooth insertion; and a guard cover stacked on the outer surface of the guard frame. The guard cover has: a tongue-side cover stacked on a tongue side of the guard frame; and a lip-side cover formed integrally with the tongue-side cover, stacked on a lip side of the guard frame, and higher than the tongue-side cover. The lip-side cover has: a lip-side base portion superposed on the lip side of the guard frame; and a gum protecting portion extending upward and downward from the lip-side base portion with its surfaces on both of its sides exposed. According to the present invention, the gum-covering part is thinner than the tooth surface-covering part, and thus the present invention can be worn in a soft way, is capable of minimizing irritation, and can be manufactured with ease.

TL;DR: In this article, a dental impression bite tray with a disposable pad and a handle body is presented, which can be removed after a molar impression is obtained by using a DIB tray.
Abstract: The present invention provides a dental impression bite tray having a disposable pad which contains an impression material and can be removed after a molar impression is obtained by using a dental impression bite tray. The dental impression bite tray comprises: a U-shaped tray body having pad entrances in both sides to attach a pad and having a coupling protrusion formed in one side thereof to fix support pieces in top and bottom sides of the pad entrances; and a handle body having a support piece. In the U-shaped tray body, a hanging unit formed by winding both ends of a disposable pad for accommodating an impression material and a support unit for preventing overflow of an impression material in the center thereof are formed by coupling an extension piece coupling hole formed in an extension piece formed in the center of the pad. The support piece includes a groove for accommodating the hanging unit formed on the pad by being coupled with the pad entrances formed in the U-shaped tray body, and a coupling groove formed to be coupled with the coupling protrusion formed in one side of the U-shaped tray body. The dental impression bite tray according to the present invention can obtain a molar impression and can conveniently remove and abandon an impression material and a disposable pad, so convenience can be remarkably improved when an impression material is removed. Also, only left and right needed parts of a molar can be selectively impressed. Moreover, only a U-shaped tray integrally formed with a disposable pad or a pad can be replaced, so waste treatment can be minimized. Accordingly, environmentally-friendly properties and economical profits can be pursued.

TL;DR: In this article, a multi-layer film comprising a laminated 2n+1 unit layers, wherein n is more than or equal to 1, and the hardness of an intermediate unit layer is the highest, was presented.
Abstract: The invention discloses a multi-layer film comprising a laminated 2n+1 unit layers, wherein n is more than or equal to 1, and the hardness of an intermediate unit layer is the highest, the hardness ofunit layers at two sides decreases in turn or the unit layers with different hardnesses are alternately stacked, and the hardnesses of unit layers at two outermost sides are respectively less than those of adjacent unit layers; the total flexural elastic modulus of the multi-layer film is 600-2000 MPa, the tear resistance is 200-500 N/cm and the thickness is 0.5-1.1 mm. A preparation method comprises the steps of drying, feeding, melting, homogenizing and extrusion, rolling and preparing the multi-layer film. With the multi-layer film stacking arrangement method, films with different properties can be chosen for personalized customization, and both sides of the films are soft. When the film is made into dental brackets subsequently, the mouthfeel comfort of wearing is increased. The preparation method adopts the co-extrusion method, and the performance of the multi-layer film achieves the best effect under the specific operating parameters.
