Journal ArticleDOI

An Overview of Dual-Phase Steels: Advances in Microstructure-Oriented Processing and Micromechanically Guided Design

TL;DR: In this article, the authors provide a detailed account of these improvements, focusing specifically on microstructure evolution during processing, and expander expansion during the fabrication of dual-phase alloys.
Journal ArticleDOI

Alloying effects on microstructure formation of dual phase steels

TL;DR: In this article, the inheritance process of dual-phase steels was studied by combining measurements of the elemental distribution by Wavelength-Dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (WDX), simulations of the evolution of the element composition via the DICTRA (diffusion-controlled reactions) computer program, dilatometry to observe the kinetics of phase transformation, and observation and quantification of the microstructures by Electron Backscatter Diffraction (EBSD) measurements.
Proceedings ArticleDOI

Crack Formation in Charpy Tests of the Heat-Affected Zone of Large-Diameter Linepipe Material

TL;DR: In this article, the authors used scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and electron backscatter diffraction (EBSD) to investigate the heat-affected zone (HAZ) of X70 large-diameter pipe material as well as tested Charpy specimens from the same material.
