TL;DR: In this article, a controller for a power converter can provide a control signal to control the power converter, and a cycle of the control signal includes a first time interval and a second time interval.
Abstract: In a controller for a power converter, a control terminal can provide a control signal to control a power converter. A cycle of the control signal includes a first time interval and a second time interval. The control circuitry can increase a primary current flowing through a primary winding of transformer circuitry and a secondary current flowing through a secondary winding of the transformer circuitry in the first time interval, and can terminate the increasing of the primary current in the second time interval. The control circuitry can also control the first time interval to be inversely proportional to an input voltage provided to the primary winding.

TL;DR: In this paper, a power system includes a current regulator coupled to a load and for generating an output current having a substantially constant ripple magnitude, and for adjusting the output current according to a sense signal indicative of the current.
Abstract: A power system includes a current regulator coupled to a load and for generating an output current having a substantially constant ripple magnitude, and for adjusting the output current according to a sense signal indicative of the output current. In addition, the power system includes a filter element coupled in parallel with the load and for passing an AC (alternating-current) portion of the output current. Furthermore, the power system includes a current sensor coupled between ground and the parallel-coupled filtering element and load, and for providing the sense signal indicative of the output current.

TL;DR: In this article, the authors describe a two-switch converter where a first switch within the converter can be turned off and a second switch can be switched on in response to a switch control signal while the first switch is turned off.
Abstract: Circuits and methods for controlling a converter are disclosed. A first switch within the converter can be turned off, and a second switch within the converter alternately can be turned on and off in response to a switch control signal while the first switch is turned off. By turning the second switch alternately on and off, energy stored in the converter can be recovered to a power source of the converter.

TL;DR: In this article, the germanium surface (200) is treated with plasma products or thermally reacted with vapor reactants, leaving oxygen bridges, nitrogen bridges, -OH, -NH and/or -NH2 terminations that more readily adsorb ALD reactants.
Abstract: Methods are provided for treating germanium surfaces (200) in preparation for subsequent deposition, particularly gate dielectric deposition by atomic layer deposition (ALD). Prior to depositing, the germanium surface (200) is treated with plasma products or thermally reacted with vapor reactants. Examples of surface treatments leave oxygen bridges, nitrogen bridges, -OH, -NH and/or -NH2 terminations that more readily adsorb ALD reactants. The surface treatments avoid deep penetration of the reactants into the germanium bulk but improve nucleation.

TL;DR: In this paper, a method and structures for conformal lining of dual damascene structures in integrated circuits are provided. But, the method is not suitable for the case of the dual-damascene structure.
Abstract: Method and structures are provided for conformal lining of dual damascene structures in integrated circuits Preferred embodiments are directed to providing conformal lining over openings formed in porous materials Trenches are formed (100) in insulating layers The layers are then adequately treated with a particular plasma process (101) Following this plasma treatment a self-limiting, self-saturating atomic layer deposition (ALD) reaction (115) can occur without significantly filling the pores forming improved interconnects

TL;DR: In this paper, a MESFET-based boost converter includes an N-channel MES-FET connected to a node Vx and an inductor connected to Vx to a battery or other power source.
Abstract: A MESFET based boost converter includes an N-channel MESFET connected to a node Vx. An inductor connects the node Vx to a battery or other power source. The node Vx is also connected to an output node via a Schottky diode or a second MESFET or both. A control circuit drives the MESFET (and the second MESFET) so that the inductor is alternately connected to ground and to the output node. The maximum voltage impressed across the low side MESFET is optionally clamped by a Zener diode. In some implementations, the MESFET is connected in series with a MOSFET. The MOSFET is switched off during sleep or standby modes to minimize leakage current through the MESFET. The MOSFET is therefore switched at a low frequency compared to the MESFET and does not contribute significantly to switching losses in the converter. In other implementations, more than one MESFET is connected in series with a MOSFET, the MOSFETs being switched off during periods of inactivity to suppress leakage currents.
