TL;DR: In this paper, a maxillary skeletal expander with a transformable screw guide is described, which strongly fixes a screw to a maxilla when the screw is implanted in the maxilla.
Abstract: The present invention relates to a maxillary skeletal expander and, more specifically, to a maxillary skeletal expander with a transformable screw guide, which strongly fixes a screw to a maxilla when the screw is implanted in the maxilla. According to the present invention, the maxillary skeletal expander with a transformable screw guide comprises: a pair of first and second expanding parts coupled to a tooth fixing means fixed to a tooth to correct the tooth; an expanding screw screw-coupled to the first and second expanding parts to adjust a gap between the first and second expanding parts while being rotated; a pair of guide rods guiding the movement of the first and second expanding parts when the first and second expanding parts are rotated by rotation of the expanding screw; a plurality of arms inserting and fixing one end into and to the first or second expanding part, and coupling the other end to the tooth fixing means; a vertical through-hole formed in the first and second expanding parts in the direction perpendicular to a moving direction of the first and second expanding parts; and a screw guide disposed in the vertical through-hole to be guided to the vertical through-hole and vertically moved.

TL;DR: In this article, a dental arch extension system with a loosening prevention function was proposed to prevent a screw from being loosened after surgery, where a pair of guide rods were used to adjust an interval between the first and second extension parts while being rotated.
Abstract: The present invention relates to a dental arch extension apparatus and, more specifically, to a dental arch extension apparatus with a loosening prevention function of preventing a screw from being loosened after surgery. According to the present invention, the dental arch extension apparatus comprises: a pair of first and second extension parts; an extension screw having a central part and having a first screw part formed on one side of the central part to be screw-coupled to the first extension part and a second screw part formed on the other side of the central part to be screw-coupled to the second extension part so as to adjust an interval between the first and second extension parts while being rotated; a pair of guide rods guiding movement of the first and second extension parts when the first and second extension parts are moved by rotation of the extension screw; and a loosening prevention member restricting the rotation of the extension screw by the stress within elastic limit.

TL;DR: A maxillary skeletal expander is composed of a pair of dental arch expansion bodies positioned to face each other in an oral cavity; an expanding screw provided between the pair of DAs to move the DAs without deviation; a DAs expansion body combining means having a fixing piece for penetrating a fixing hole at a selected part in the oral cavity as discussed by the authors.
Abstract: A maxillary skeletal expander is proposed. The maxillary skeletal expander is composed of a pair of dental arch expansion bodies positioned to face each other in an oral cavity; an expanding screw provided between the pair of dental arch expansion bodies to move the dental arch expansion bodies; a guide provided between the pair of dental arch expansion bodies to safely move the dental arch expansion bodies without deviation; a dental arch expansion body combining means having a fixing piece for penetrating a fixing hole at a selected part in the oral cavity, and configured to be combined to and separated from each of the dental arch expansion bodies.
