Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus 2 RNA Detected in Blood Donations.
TL;DR: Wuhan Blood Center as mentioned in this paper screened donations in real-time and retrospectively and found plasma samples positive for viral RNA from 4 asymptomatic donors, which is the first screening for severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 RNA.
Journal ArticleDOI
Characteristics and serological patterns of COVID-19 convalescent plasma donors: optimal donors and timing of donation.
Ling Li,Xunliang Tong,Hanwei Chen,Rui He,Qilu Lv,Ru Yang,Lei Zhao,Jue Wang,Haixia Xu,Chuanqiao Liu,Guoan Chen,Sitian Chen,Chenyue Li,Jiajia Qiao,Juntao Yang,Yanyun Wu,Zhong Liu +16 more
TL;DR: This study indicates that the S‐RBD‐specific IgG antibody reaches higher levels after 4 weeks from the onset of COVID‐19 symptoms, and recommends the following selection criteria for optimal donation of CO VID‐19 convalescent plasma: 28 days after the onsetof symptoms and with a disease presentation of fever lasting longer than 3 days or a body temperature exceeding 38.5°C.
Journal ArticleDOI

TL;DR: In this paper, the seroprevalence of SARS-CoV-2 antibodies among blood donors in the cities of Wuhan, Shenzhen, and Shijiazhuang in China was investigated.
Journal ArticleDOI
