Abstract: Rapid economic reforms and proper GDP growth in China has affected the regional development of Chinese provinces. This study aims to estimate the degree of economic and environmental disparities within Chinese provinces for developing policy recommendations of regional transformation. The reduced log-linear specification of endogenous growth model is used for the estimation of convergence rates within Chinese provinces. The empirical results prove that an increase of 1% in GDP per capita basic year reduces the economic growth rate by 0.1% in the reference year. Thus, the ratio of the average per capita income in the wealthiest group to poorest provinces accounted for the factor 9.6 in 1995 and factor 4.1 in the year 2015, which means a reduction of disproportionate development. Environmental convergence trends were also found and less polluted provinces eventually increase emissions at higher rates than the initially polluted ones. With the pass of time, all provinces do move to the same steady state in environmental parameters. The speed of the economic and environmental convergence in China provinces is rather slow, and the economic growth was achieved by great sacrifices of an environment, since all provinces are striving to the same steady state in terms of pollution increase. The industrialized regions due to the presence of significant financial resources should pay more attention to the protection of the environment using all the available economic potential. At the same time, both initially poor provinces and rich have to develop more profoundly agriculture, tourism, recreation, and other environmentally friendly industries to improve economic performance.

Abstract: The strengthening of ecological conflicts due to the increase of the destructive impact from industrial companies on the environment provokes the development and implementation of the eco-innovation technologies. Besides, such technologies should allow obtaining not only the ecological benefits (the decrease of the negative impact on the environment) but also the economic and social advantages which correspond to sustainable development principles. This paper aims to justify the social, ecological and economic effects from implementing a new electricity production technology from post-process gas heat at companies. The data for empirical justification were obtained from the experiment of applying the electricity production technology from post-process gas heat at Polish industrial companies. In the first stage, bibliometric analysis was used for highlighting the scientific background of economic evaluation of the innovative activity on energy technologies of industrial companies and its impact on the environment and public health. Secondly, the economic and ecological efficiency of electricity production technology for the selected company was estimated. The results of the analysis confirm that new technologies allowed increasing the energy efficiency of the company by decreasing energy consumption, increasing productivity, etc. The findings prove that one of the ecological effects was the decrease of CO2 and SO2 emissions in the air. In this case, the link between the volume of CO2 emissions and the rate of morbidity if such innovative technologies were scaled was checked. The findings show that decreasing CO2 emissions by 1% leads to a decline in the death rate by 0.5%. If the new technology were scaled and implemented among similar industrial companies, it could decrease the rate of morbidity by 0.01% The results obtained could be used by the companies’ management and policymakers in the framework to achieve sustainable development goals.

Abstract: The issue of stakeholder activity and collaboration for developing and promoting the green competitiveness of enterprises are nowadays relevant and play a significant role in creating competitive advantages. Systematization literary sources prove that economic activity is characterizing by specific relationships between a wide set of stakeholders, the effective communicative system can bring potential benefits to all parties and stakeholders have specific expectations regarding various aspects of the enterprises’ operation: organizational, economic, social, environmental etc. The main objective of the article is creating the preconditions for building the stakeholder communication system for promoting the green competitiveness of the company and assessing by stakeholders the results of companies’ activity. The paper used scientific methods are based on logical generalization and scientific abstraction for systematizing the prerequisites for the formation of a system of communications of green competitive stakeholders; typology of green competitiveness stakeholders; formal-logical for determining the determinants and principles of effective collaboration of stakeholders of green competitiveness. For investigating the stakeholders’ assessment of the green competitiveness effects was undertaken Multidimensional scaling analysis and were estimated five outcome dimensions: consumer satisfaction in green goods; efficiency of green goods production; green goods quality and cleaner production; institutional partnership; community impact. For scaling responses in survey research was used a seven-point psychometric Likert scale. A general questioning is provided for five countries: Ukraine, Poland, Romania, Slovenia, Czech Republic, and include the results of the survey the 1236 stakeholders. The results of the assessment showed that in all groups (internal and external) of stakeholder, the employees assessed results of the environmental strategies as «success» – 22,3% and community from another group – 7,45%. The stakeholder opinion is the same. That is evidence that the processes of greening stakeholder’s communication are becoming wider and involve more participants. The result of the research creates the background for improving the system of green competitiveness stakeholder interaction.

Abstract: The article aims to identify the latest trends in research on renewable energy, sustainability and the environment. A total of 92,873 publications from 123 Scopus sources for 2020–2021 are compared using the scoping review method. The results show that the most cited works in this sample are those by authors from the Asian region. The research of these authors focuses on the security, efficiency and reliability of separate elements in energy systems. Besides, the paper considers the problems regarding COVID disease along with the renewable energy sources, perovskite and organic solar panels, nanostructured materials and high energy density. Finally, the paper analyses applications of computer science methods in research on renewable energy, sustainability and the environment. The findings evidently show that recent advancements in computer science methods were not extensively used in the discussed research domain and give a great room for novel strategies of prognosing, simulation and processes optimisation.

Abstract: The paper is devoted to the investigation of environmental, energy and economic security by multivariate analysis methods. A set of indicators selected for research conducting includes 9 parameters for each security type. Study sample is formed by data for 6 Eastern European countries (Ukraine, Moldova, Poland, Romania, Hungary and Slovak Republic) for the period 2000–2019. Empirical study was conducted by factor analysis, which allowed identifying the main components of environmental, energy and economic security. Comparison of the results obtained for the studied countries showed differentiation of individual profiles of such types of security. Investigation of integral vectors of environmental, energy and economic security showed the highest level of interaction between energy and environmental security and the lowest one between energy and economic security.

Abstract: The article uses neural networks to model the effects of quarantine restrictions on the most important indicators of the country's socio-economic development. The authors selected the most relevant indicators and formed a specific sequence of its calculation to study the direction of transforming the trajectory of socio-economic development of a particular country due to quarantine restrictions. They used a multilayer MLP perceptron and networks based on radial basis functions. They chose BFGS and RBFT algorithms in neural network modeling. Collinearity study was the basis for data mining in terms of key factors of change. The author's approach is unique due to an iterative procedure of numerical optimization and quasi-Newton methods ("self-learning" and step-by-step "improvement" of neural networks). The model projected gross domestic product and the number of unemployed in the country affected by the COVID-19 pandemic over the three years.
