TL;DR: This study centers on multi-criteria decision-making (MCDM) issues in which criteria are weighed differently and criteria values are expressed as single-valued neutrosophic linguistic numbers.
Abstract: This paper investigates a wide range of generalized Maclaurin symmetric mean (MSM) aggregation operators, such as the generalized arithmetic MSM and the generalized geometric MSM, whose predominant characteristic is capturing the interrelationships among multi-input arguments. The single-valued neutrosophic linguistic set plays an essential role in decision making, which can serve as an extension of either a linguistic term set or a single-valued neutrosophic set. This study centers on multi-criteria decision-making (MCDM) issues in which criteria are weighed differently and criteria values are expressed as single-valued neutrosophic linguistic numbers. Based on this foundation, we extend a series of MSM aggregation techniques under single-valued neutrosophic linguistic environments and propose procedures for solving MCDM problems. We also explore the influence of parameters on aggregation results. Finally, we provide a practical example and conduct a comparison analysis between the proposed approach and other existing methods in order to verify the proposed approach and demonstrate its validity.

TL;DR: A method based on the single-valued trapezoidal neutrosophic normalized weighted Bonferroni mean (SVTNNWBM) operator to address multi-criteria group decision-making (MCGDM) problems is developed.
Abstract: Single-valued trapezoidal neutrosophic numbers (SVTNNs) are very useful tools for describing complex information, because they are able to maintain the completeness of the information and describe it accurately and comprehensively. This paper develops a method based on the single-valued trapezoidal neutrosophic normalized weighted Bonferroni mean (SVTNNWBM) operator to address multi-criteria group decision-making (MCGDM) problems. First, the limitations of existing operations for SVTNNs are discussed, after which improved operations are defined. Second, a new comparison method based on score function is proposed. Then, the entropy-weighted method is established in order to obtain objective expert weights, and the SVTNNWBM operator is proposed based on the new operations of SVTNNs. Furthermore, a single-valued trapezoidal neutrosophic MCGDM method is developed. Finally, a numerical example and comparison analysis are conducted to verify the practicality and effectiveness of the proposed approach.

TL;DR: This study aims to introduce a series of novel distance measures of an intuitionistic fuzzy set and an extended Multi-attributive Border Approximation Area Comparison method to address multi-criteria group decision-making problems.
Abstract: This study aims to introduce a series of novel distance measures of an intuitionistic fuzzy set and an extended Multi-attributive Border Approximation Area Comparison method to address multi-criteria group decision-making problems. To aggregate the intuitionistic fuzzy information, we propose two aggregation operators, namely, the intuitionistic fuzzy Dombi generalised $$ \lambda $$-Shapley Choquet arithmetical average operator and intuitionistic fuzzy Dombi generalised $$ \lambda $$-Shapley Choquet geometric average operator. These aggregation operators consider the importance of combinations and correlations among combinations of input arguments. Furthermore, an illustrative example of a human resource management problem is presented to verify the effectiveness of the proposed method, and sensitivity and comparison analyses are conducted to demonstrate the technique’s stability and advancements. Finally, conclusions are drawn.

TL;DR: An overview on neutrosophic set is presented with the aim of offering a clear perspective on the different concepts, tools and trends related to their extensions and indicates that some developing economics (such as China, India, Turkey) are quite active in neutrosophile set research.
Abstract: Neutrosophic set, initiated by Smarandache, is a novel tool to deal with vagueness considering the truth-membership T, indeterminacy-membership I and falsity-membership F satisfying the condition $$0\le T+I+F\le 3$$. It can be used to characterize the uncertain information more sufficiently and accurately than intuitionistic fuzzy set. Neutrosophic set has attracted great attention of many scholars that have been extended to new types and these extensions have been used in many areas such as aggregation operators, decision making, image processing, information measures, graph and algebraic structures. Because of such a growth, we present an overview on neutrosophic set with the aim of offering a clear perspective on the different concepts, tools and trends related to their extensions. A total of 137 neutrosophic set publication records from Web of Science are analyzed. Many interesting results with regard to the annual trends, the top players in terms of country level as well as institutional level, the publishing journals, the highly cited papers, and the research landscape are yielded and explained in-depth. The results indicate that some developing economics (such as China, India, Turkey) are quite active in neutrosophic set research. Moreover, the co-authorship analysis of the country and institution, the co-citation analysis of the journal, reference and author, and the co-occurrence analysis of the keywords are presented by VOSviewer software.

TL;DR: The primary purpose of the study is to develop the systematic transformation of information measures (distance measure, similarity measure, entropy, and inclusion measure) for q‐ROFSs.
Abstract: The q‐rung orthopair fuzzy set (q‐ROFS), originally developed by Yager, is more capable than that of Pythagorean fuzzy set to deal uncertainty in real life. The main goal of this paper is to investigate the relationship between the distance measure, the similarity measure, the entropy, and the inclusion measure for q‐ROFSs. The primary purpose of the study is to develop the systematic transformation of information measures (distance measure, similarity measure, entropy, and inclusion measure) for q‐ROFSs. For obtaining this goal, some new formulae for information measures of q‐ROFSs are presented. To show the validity of the explored similarity measure, we apply it to pattern recognition, clustering analysis, and medical diagnosis. Some illustrative examples are given to support the findings, and also demonstrate their practicality and availability of similarity measure between q‐ROFSs.
