Australian vegetated coastal ecosystems as global hotspots for climate change mitigation

Oscar Serrano, +57 more
TL;DR: This assessment, the most comprehensive for any nation to-date, demonstrates the potential of conservation and restoration of VCE to underpin national policy development for reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
Journal ArticleDOI

The FLUXNET2015 dataset and the ONEFlux processing pipeline for eddy covariance data

Gilberto Pastorello, +303 more
- 09 Jul 2020 -
TL;DR: The FLUXNET2015 dataset provides ecosystem-scale data on CO 2 , water, and energy exchange between the biosphere and the atmosphere, and other meteorological and biological measurements, from 212 sites around the globe, and is detailed in this paper.
Journal ArticleDOI

Testing the grass-fire cycle: alien grass invasion in the tropical savannas of northern Australia

TL;DR: Invasive alien grasses can increase fuel loads, leading to changes in fire regimes of invaded ecosystems by increasing the frequency, intensity and spatial extent of fires as discussed by the authors, which is a serious threat to northern Australia's savannas.
Journal ArticleDOI

Optimal stomatal behaviour around the world

Yan-Shih Lin, +57 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors present a database of globally distributed stomatal conductance (g(s) obtained in the field for a wide range of plant functional types (PFTs) and biomes.
