Behaviour of Hexagon Split Ring Resonators and Left-Handed Metamaterials

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors used a rectangular waveguide system to measure the X-band (8-12 GHz) transmission of hexagon split ring resonators (SRRs) alone and the left-handed metamaterials (LHMs) consisting of a hexagon SRR array and wire array.
Journal ArticleDOI

H-shaped structure of left-handed metamaterials with simultaneous negative permittivity and permeability

TL;DR: In this article, a structure made of periodic arrays of H-shaped metallic pattern was introduced for building left-handed metamaterials with simultaneous negative permittivity and permeability.
Journal ArticleDOI

The defect effect in the one-dimensional negative permeability material

TL;DR: In this article, the defect effect in the two-dimensional negative permeability material, co-consisting of copper hexagon split ring resonators (SRRs), is investigated, where the defect SRRs break the periodic structure of the samples, which results in the shift of the main resonance frequency and the resonant intensity.
Journal ArticleDOI

Stopband Phenomena in the Passband of Left-Handed Metamaterials

TL;DR: In this article, it is shown that the left-handed transmission peaks have a distinct transform with the relative deviation of the split ring resonators center from the wire centre, i.e., from a single lefthanded peak, double left-hand peaks with different magnitude to no transmission peak, and that the change of δ makes the effective permeability shift at a frequency range.
