Journal ArticleDOI
Global Methylomic and Transcriptomic Analyses Reveal the Broad Participation of DNA Methylation in Daily Gene Expression Regulation of Populus trichocarpa.
Lixiong Liang,Chang Yingying,Junqian Lu,Wu Xiaojuan,Qi Liu,Weixi Zhang,Xiaohua Su,Bingyu Zhang +7 more
TL;DR: The results suggest that DNA methylation participates widely in daily gene expression regulation, but is not the main mechanism modulating the plant circadian clock.
Journal ArticleDOI
Genome-wide analysis of day/night DNA methylation differences in Populus nigra.
TL;DR: The results indicated that methylated genes were prevalent in the poplar genome, but that only a few of these participated in diurnal gene expression regulation.
Journal ArticleDOI
No consistent daily variation in DNA methylation detected in Populus nigra leaves by methylation-sensitive amplification polymorphism analysis
Shu Diao,Yanbo Wang,Changjun Ding,Chang Yingying,Lixiong Liang,Gao Yanan,Bingyu Zhang,Xiaohua Su +7 more
TL;DR: Real time qPCR showed that the DNA methyltransferase genes Pt-MET1 and Pt-SOM1 involved in CG DNA methylation in poplar were stable over a 24 h period in leaves of P. nigra N46 compared with circadian-controlled genes, suggesting that DNA methylisation is more stable than expected and is unlikely to be involved in circadian regulation in plants.
