Abstract: A unique thermoplastic olefin composition having: (a) at least 40 percent by weight of a propylene-alpha olefin copolymer based on the total weight of polymers in the composition, the propylene-alpha olefin copolymer having at least 60 percent by weight units derived from propylene, at least 6 percent by weight units derived from an alpha olefin, a molecular weight distribution less than 3.5, and a broad composition distribution; and (b) at least 20 percent by weight of a polypropylene based on the total weight of polymers in the composition, the polypropylene having at least 93 percent by weight units derived from propylene, a molecular weight distribution of greater than 3.5, a heat of fusion greater than the heat of fusion exhibited by the propylene-alphaolefin copolymer, and a melting point Tmax of at least 120°C.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention are directed to systems and methods of controlling data transfer between a host system and a plurality of storage devices. One embodiment is directed to a virtualization controller for controlling data transfer between a host system and a plurality of storage devices. The virtualization controller comprises a plurality of first ports for connection with the plurality of storage devices each having a storage area to store data; a second port for connection with the host system; a processor; and a memory configured to store volume mapping information which correlates first identification information used by the host system to access a first storage area in one of the storage devices, with second identification information for identifying the first storage area, the correlation being used by the processor to access the first storage area. When data stored in the first storage area is transferred to a second storage area in one of the storage devices, the processor correlates the first identification information with a third identification information for identifying the second storage area and registers the first identification information and the third identification information in the volume mapping information.

Abstract: Aqueous dispersions including at least one thermoplastic resin; at least one dispersing agent; and water; wherein the dispersion has a pH of less than 12 are disclosed along with dispersions including at least one thermoplastic resin; at least one dispersing agent; and water wherein the dispersion has a volume average particle size of less than about 5 μm. Some dispersions include less than about 4 percent by weight of the dispersing agent based on the weight of the thermoplastic resin. Other dispersions include at least one propylene-rich alpha-olefin interpolymer; at least one dispersing agent; and water. Methods of making such dispersions are also described.

Abstract: This invention relates to an adhesive composition comprising a functionalized random propylene polymer (FRPP) having at least 0.1 wt% of a functional group, a heat of fusion of between 0.5 and 70 J/g, and an mm triad tacticity index of at least 75%, where the adhesive has a T-Peel adhesion on a polar substrate at 20°C of at least 175 N/m (1 lb/in) and a T-Peel adhesion on a non-polar substrate at 20°C of at least 175 N/m (1 lb/in) where the polarity of the polar substrate is at least 0.10 units higher than the polarity of the non-polar substrate. Methods to produce the adhesive and articles comprising the adhesive are also disclosed.

Abstract: The instant invention provides an aqueous dispersion, a coating composition, coating layers and coated article made therefrom. The coating composition according to the present invention comprises: (1) the inventive aqueous dispersion comprising the melt blending product of: (a) from 50 to 99 percent by weight of one or more polyethylene terephthalate resins, based on the total solid content of the dispersion; (b) from 1 to 50 percent by weight of one or more stabilizing agents comprising at least one second polyester, based on the total solid content of the dispersion, wherein said second polyester (i) has a carboxylic acid group and an acid number equal to or greater than 15, based on the solid content of the second polyester; or (ii) is a self-dispersing sulfopolyester; (c) one or more neutralizing agents; and (d) from 15 to 90 percent by weight of water, based on the total weight of the dispersion; wherein said dispersion has a solid content of 10 to 85 percent, based on the total weight of the dispersion; and (2) optionally one or more cross-linking agents.
