Journal ArticleDOI
CREB3 Transcription Factors: ER-Golgi Stress Transducers as Hubs for Cellular Homeostasis.
Luciana Sampieri,Luciana Sampieri,Pablo Di Giusto,Pablo Di Giusto,Cecilia Alvarez,Cecilia Alvarez +5 more
TL;DR: An overview of the diverse functions of each member of the CREB3 family of transcription factors with special focus on their role in the central nervous system is provided.
Journal ArticleDOI
Rab1b overexpression modifies Golgi size and gene expression in HeLa cells and modulates the thyrotrophin response in thyroid cells in culture
Nahuel Romero,Catherine I. Dumur,Hernán Martinez,Iris Alejandra García,Pablo Monetta,Ileana Slavin,Luciana Sampieri,Nicolás P. Koritschoner,Alexander A. Mironov,Maria Antonietta De Matteis,Cecilia Alvarez +10 more
TL;DR: The results show a Rab1b increase in secretory cells after stimulation and suggest that this increase is required to elicit a secretory response.
Journal ArticleDOI
CREB3L1-mediated functional and structural adaptation of the secretory pathway in hormone-stimulated thyroid cells.
Iris Alejandra García,Vanina Torres Demichelis,Diego Luis Viale,Pablo Di Giusto,Yulia Ezhova,Roman S. Polishchuk,Luciana Sampieri,Hernán Martinez,Elizabeth Sztul,Cecilia Alvarez +9 more
TL;DR: CREB3L1 has a role during the adaptation of the secretory pathway in response to high secretory demand in thyroid cells, a process with direct impact on thyroid physiology.
Journal ArticleDOI
Spatial-Temporal Study of Rab1b Dynamics and Function at the ER-Golgi Interface.
TL;DR: Rab1b localization time at ERES depended on GBF1, a Rab1b effector that acts as the guanine nucleotide exchange factor of Arf1, and that Rab 1b membrane association/dissociation dynamics at ER ES was dependent on the GBF 1 membrane association and activity, which strongly suggests that GBF2 activity modulates Rab1B membrane cycling dynamic.
Journal ArticleDOI
CREB3L2 Modulates Nerve Growth Factor-Induced Cell Differentiation.
Luciana Sampieri,Luciana Sampieri,Macarena Funes Chabán,Macarena Funes Chabán,Pablo Di Giusto,Pablo Di Giusto,Victoria Rozés-Salvador,Cecilia Alvarez,Cecilia Alvarez +8 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the expression and signaling mechanism of CREB3 transcription factor family members were analyzed using the NGF-induced PC12 cell differentiation model, showing that NGF treatment causes Golgi enlargement and a parallel increased expression of proteins and mRNAs encoding for proteins required for membrane transport (transport factors).
