TL;DR: It is document how ignorance around the best practices for anal sex may impede pleasure and the further exploration of sexual pleasure and highlight areas where sexual health and education interventions may be beneficial.
Abstract: This study examines the practice of and attitudes toward anal sexual stimulation among 30 heterosexual undergraduate men attending a UK university. While scientific and popular belief throughout the twentieth century has considered anal pleasure to be only for gay or gender non-conforming men, we find participants discuss such pleasure openly, and some have explored physically receiving anal pleasure. Participants did not stigmatise sexual pleasure derived from anal play, challenging cultural narratives that conflate anal receptivity with being gay. We document how ignorance around the best practices for anal sex may impede pleasure and the further exploration of sexual pleasure and highlight areas where sexual health and education interventions may be beneficial.

Abstract: The experiences of young, gay athletes have been widely studied by academics looking to understand the intersection of sport and sexualities. A plethora of research over the last 30 years has documented how sport has largely transitioned into an inclusive culture for gay athletes. This chapter research uses 60 published autobiographical accounts of the personal coming-out experience of male (mostly student) athletes and trainers from Outsports.com—a resource and online support system for gay athletes.

TL;DR: Teenage addiction is investigated and Dr. H. M. Holden sees the problem more as a social than a psychiatric one and the sources of supply include members of the medical profession.
Abstract: They start off with the mild drugs, pep-pills, simply in order to stay awake and participate in city night life. But many of them are homeless and rootless and they soon find the drugs provide an artificial escape from their miseries and they begin to depend on them. Dr. H. M. Holden has investigated teenage addiction and sees the problem more as a social than a psychiatric one. Drug addiction among young people is almost entirely confined to large cities and to particular areas within them. The sources of supply include members of the medical profession. Indeed, at one time, enormous quantities of amphetamines ('pep-pills') were distributed freely by doctors without any awareness of the problem they were creating. The fact remains that it is incredibly easy for youngsters to obtain unlimited supplies of amphetamines at a cost of Is. 4d. per tablet from the large numbers of 'pushers' who operate mainly in the coffee and dancing clubs both inside and outside the West End.
