Video object matching across multiple independent views using local descriptors and adaptive learning
Luís F. Teixeira,Luís Corte-Real +1 more
TL;DR: Bag-of-visterms, i.e. an histogram of quantized local feature descriptors, is proposed to represent and match tracked objects to present high resilience to incorrect object segmentation.
Journal ArticleDOI
User interface design guidelines for smartphone applications for people with Parkinson's disease
TL;DR: The symptoms and characteristics of PD that may influence the interaction with smartphones to then contribute in this direction are investigated and user interface design guidelines for creating smartphone user interfaces for PwP are outlined.
Journal ArticleDOI
Object Segmentation Using Background Modelling and Cascaded Change Detection
TL;DR: This work proposes a technique that tackles problems using a cascade of change detection tests, including noise-induced, illumination variation and structural changes, and consistently outperforms the base methods, without additional post-processing and without additional processing overheads.
