Journal ArticleDOI
Interplay between mineral bone disorder and cardiac damage in acute kidney injury: from Ca2+ mishandling and preventive role of Klotho in mice to its potential mortality prediction in human.
Laura González-Lafuente,José Alberto Navarro-García,Elena Rodríguez-Sánchez,Jennifer Aceves-Ripoll,Jonay Poveda,Sara Vázquez-Sánchez,Elisa Mercado-García,María Fernández-Velasco,Makoto Kuro-o,Fernando Liaño,Luis M. Ruilope,Gema Ruiz-Hurtado +11 more
TL;DR: In this article , the authors found that the crosslink between mineral bone disorders and cardiac damage after an acute kidney injury (AKI) episode still remains unclear, and they tested MBD and cardiac biomarkers in an experimental AKI model after 24 or 72 hours of folic acid injection and analyzed structural cardiac remodeling, intracellular calcium dynamics in cardiomyocytes and cardiac rhythm.

Cardiovascular and renal risks of calcium-channel blockers--news from the HOT study.
Journal ArticleDOI
Prevalence of office and ambulatory hypotension in treated hypertensive patients with coronary disease.
J A Divisón-Garrote,Juan J. de la Cruz,Alejandro de la Sierra,Ernest Vinyoles,Manuel Gorostidi,Carlos Escobar-Cervantes,Julian Segura,Vivencio Barrios,Luis M. Ruilope,José R. Banegas +9 more
