Research suggests that music has a powerful effect on the human mind and body. This article explores the impact of music as an intervention. For this purpose, the X-System technology is used to curate relaxing and enlivening music playlists designed to positively impact wellbeing and emotional state during the COVID-19 pandemic. A wellbeing model grounded in autopoietic theory of self-organisation in living systems is developed to inform the evaluation of the impact of the intervention and ensure the reliability of the data. More specifically, data quality is enhanced by focusing the participants’ awareness on their immediate embodied experience of physical, emotional and relational wellbeing and sense of pleasure/displeasure prior to and after listening to a preferred playlist. The statistical analysis shows significant positive changes in emotional wellbeing, valence and sense of meaning ( $p ) with a medium effect size. It also reveals a statistically significant change for physical wellbeing ( $p=0.009$ ) with a small effect size. With the relaxing playlists leading to decrease in arousal levels and the enlivening playlists to an increase in activation, it is also concluded that appropriately curated playlists may be able to lead the listener to positive relaxation or activation states or indeed to positive mood change that may have health benefits.

In this paper we will present the analyzed results of an experiment that relates the facial expression with acoustic stimuli. Music therapy can be used for treating autistic children, diseases and disorders, software development and personalized musical systems [5]. Through the data obtained using iMotions", the analyzed data was processed using Matlab" and Excel. Matlab" was used to analyze the raw data using the data analysis tools, in order to determine the impact of artificially synthesized versus human composed audios. The data was obtained from three experiments, each experiment had different conditions, each experiment had different number of participants, the length and type of audio segment changed for each experiment. The data obtained from these three experiments were analyzed using FACET of iMotions". For the next stage we analyzed Neutral Emotion, the purpose of this analysis is of outmost importance for future stages for a proper development of a recurrent neural network to develop an algorithm to create music sequences, with potential therapeutic, educational and productivity improvement implementations

Variation of Facial Expression Produced by Acoustic Stimuli

International Diabetes Federation said that there is 5% of Indian population agonizes from diabetes, and it will rise to 123 million by 2040, also one study reveals that three Indians in ten suffered from hypertension and 89% of Indian population suffered from stress. There are various parameters which will impact on the medical health of a patient, and music is one of them. Emotions of individual by changing the timbre will affect by raga as said by ancient Indian classical musical experts some decades ago. Due to advancement in technology and day-by-day increasing work pressure on a human being due to competitions, there is need of an hour to improve health and reduces stress by other traditional way. This review work explores raga music therapy as scientifically the traditional way of medicine. A pilot study reveals that the raga music therapy will enhance health of diabetics, low BP, high BP, and stress of chronic disease patients. At the end mobile app development process flow is explained on the similar concept which may greatly help in improvement of different chronic patients’ health.

A Pilot Study of Indian Ragas-Based Music Therapy for Enhancement of Chronic Patient Health Condition

This paper describes a framework for determining stress by measuring the heart rate and treating it through computer music generation. We present a practical and computationally inexpensive technique for measuring the heart rate using the low-end video cameras already present in a wide range of consumer electronics. Our method for treating stress is based on music therapy using computer generated music. Currently the heart rate monitor application and the computer music generation tool are implemented. Further work includes the analysis of heart rate variability and the integration of the framework on a smart phone.
