BACKGROUND: e-learning was underutilized in the past especially in developing countries. However, the current crisis of the COVID-19 pandemic forced the entire world to rely on it for education. OBJECTIVES: To estimate the university medical staff perceptions, evaluate their experiences, recognize their barriers, challenges of e-learning during the COVID-19 pandemic, and investigate factors influencing the acceptance and use of e-learning as a tool teaching within higher education. METHODS: Data was collected using an electronic questionnaire with a validated Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) for exploring factors that affect the acceptance and use of e-learning as a teaching tool among medical staff members, Zagazig University, Egypt. RESULTS: The majority (88%) of the staff members agreed that the technological skills of giving the online courses increase the educational value of the experience of the college staff. The rate of participant agreement on perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, and acceptance of e-learning was (77.1%, 76.5%, and 80.9% respectively). The highest barriers to e-learning were insufficient/ unstable internet connectivity (40%), inadequate computer labs (36%), lack of computers/ laptops (32%), and technical problems (32%). Younger age, teaching experience less than 10 years, and being a male are the most important indicators affecting e-learning acceptance. CONCLUSION: This study highlights the challenges and factors influencing the acceptance, and use of e-learning as a tool for teaching within higher education. Thus, it will help to develop a strategic plan for the successful implementation of e-learning and view technology as a positive step towards evolution and change.

The relationship between education and work is of the greatest concern to individuals and society because they are the key drivers of growth and development. In the context of Industry 4.0, labor and educators are facing the challenges of big changes in the workplace. How to prepare undergraduate students for the world of employment has become the most important mission of higher education providers. This paper explored the competency gap in the labor market in Vietnam from the perspective of employees who have been dissatisfied with the current status. First, a qualitative method with the Delphi technique was applied to confirm this consensus in an employees’ competency model. Then, the satisfaction level for each competency criterion was explored by applying the advance quantitative method, namely, best non-fuzzy performance approach. Lifelong learning was ranked first, followed by creativity and innovation, foreign languages, expertise and digitalization, adaptability, and finally, organizing and managing ability. Critical thinking and problem-solving were perceived to have the biggest gap. The order of competency satisfaction is useful in explaining the mismatch between education quality and labor market demand. The findings provide valuable guidelines for education managers who seek to bridge the competency gap and improve education quality.

This paper reviewed the relationship between urbanization and economic growth,based on 1978-2007 in Sichuan province of urbanization and economic growth time series for the Granger causality validation study of empirical measurement.The results showed that the reform and opening up,economic growth in Sichuan Province,the role of urbanization is relatively strong,but the development of urbanization role in promoting economic growth is not obvious.The need to accelerate the development level of urbanization in Sichuan Province,Sichuan Province in the analysis of the problems of urbanization,based on the Sichuan Province to speed up the urbanization of the measures and approaches.

E-learning success model is a crucial topic, especially in the context of the Fourth Industry with artificial intelligence and virtual reality in developing countries. In practice, it is a combination of technology and education; human and system form an integrated digital learning world. E-learning has many outstanding advantages in providing flexible training and equal education to everyone, which has dramatically changed the self-study process due to the ability to customize and effectively meet the learners' demands. However, e-learning is still inferior to traditional learning and teaching in recent years. This paper explores the key barriers to e-learning success based on multi-stakeholder perspectives. The Chang's Extent Analysis Method under fuzzy logic was applied to rank the components of e-learning success model in Vietnam by defining the key barriers to its development. The incorporation of fuzzy set theory in the Analytical Hierarchical Process is superior in representing human judgments. Seven criteria were selected after justifying the experts' opinions in the in-depth interviews. The findings revealed the important order of infrastructure and technology, human resources, setting, evaluation, management and execution, support and pedagogical aspect. The results are significant for the proper action plan to promote e-learning development under the resource constraint.
