TL;DR: A prototype of electric appliance control tool via SMS by using GSM is proposed, which worked in accordance with orders given through SMS and the mobile device then received the feedback of the command.
Abstract: The development of remote control technology has grown rapidly along with the development of communication technology nowadays. The simplest communication technology available is by using GSM protocol. In this paper, a prototype of electric appliance control tool via SMS by using GSM is proposed. GSM protocol was chosen because it does not depend on mobile devices' platform. GSM SIM 900 and Arduino for controlling a relay module were utilized here. Relay module worked in accordance with orders given through SMS and the mobile device then received the feedback of the command. For testing purpose, ten (10) different types of input string as a command control was proceed. Relay worked according to orders sent from the input string submitted and feedback messages from the command given previously was provided.

TL;DR: In the case of identification the type of a file based on the data input a sequence of training examples, the result of data testing obtained 92% accuracy and the value of the learning rate should be saliently large to allow a fast learning process but small enough to guarantee its effectiveness.
Abstract: The purpose of this research was to optimize the backpropagation algorithm process by adding the Nguyen-Widrow method in input layer of feed-forward process and adapting the learning rate parameter in backward process in the backpropagation. In the preprocessing usually the data have not been normalized so the significant to the target output need to be reduce in the input layer process [1]. By embedded Nguyen-Widrow method to adaptive the weight from the generate data that will be adapted by its weight. The changed value will influence the process in the feed-forward step [2]. If the value higher than the target output, the process will continue to adaptive the learning rate in the backward step. The value of the learning rate should be saliently large to allow a fast learning process but small enough to guarantee its effectiveness [3]. In the case of identification the type of a file based on the data input a sequence of training examples, the result of data testing obtained 92% accuracy.

TL;DR: In this paper, a study was conducted at a fertilizer company in Sumatra, where companies that produce fertilizers in large quantities to meet the needs of consumers cannot be separated from issues related to the performance/effectiveness of the machinery and equipment.
Abstract: This research was conducted at a fertilizer company in Sumatra, where companies that produce fertilizers in large quantities to meet the needs of consumers. This company cannot be separated from issues related to the performance/effectiveness of the machinery and equipment. It can be seen from the engine that runs every day without a break resulted in not all of the quality of products in accordance with the quality standards set by the company. Therefore, to measure and improve the performance of the machine in the unit Plant Urea-1 as a whole then used method of Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), which is one important element in the Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) to measure the effectiveness of the machine so that it can take measures to maintain that level. In July, August and September OEE values above the standard set at 85%. Meanwhile, in October, November and December have not reached the standard OEE values. The low value of OEE due to lack of time availability of machines for the production shut down due to the occurrence of the engine long enough so that the availability of reduced production time.

TL;DR: In this paper, a technique that can bring social story therapy into virtual world to increase intrinsic motivation of children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is presented, where the output resulting from this method is 3D animation (three-dimensional animation) of social story by detecting marker located in special book and some simple game which done by using leap motion controller which is useful in reading hand movement in real-time.
Abstract: Augmented Reality is a technique that can bring social story therapy into virtual world to increase intrinsic motivation of children with Autism Spectrum Disorder(ASD). By looking at the behaviour of ASD who will be difficult to get the focus, the lack of sensory and motor nerves in the use of loads on the hands or other organs will be very distressing children with ASD in doing the right activities, and interpret and understand the social situation in determining a response appropriately. Required method to be able to apply social story on therapy of children with ASD that is implemented with Augmented Reality. The output resulting from this method is 3D animation (three-dimensional animation) of social story by detecting marker located in special book and some simple game which done by using leap motion controller which is useful in reading hand movement in real-time.

Abstract: Real-time online attendance method is helpful for workers who do a lot of activities outside the office or workers with multi-schedule. The attendance system using online biometric fingerprint system will reduce the problems caused by manual system usage such as lags in data management. The purpose of the research is to constructs an online presence system that combines fingerprint modules and GPS. The ZFM-20 fingerprint module is used as the system's main input as well as a security tool as an entrance to get access to the entire system. GPS module is applied to determine the user's location and sends it to the smartphone. Arduino module in the system will send a text message to the parties concerned about the user's location data automatically. Each module works well and testing the entire system showed the system work reliable according to the initial scenario. The User can access the report using SMS, website, and application on the Android smartphone. The fingerprint sensor can determine the fingerprint stored in the database with an average response time of 1.39 seconds, and GPS can determine latitude and longitude with an average error of 0.007352% and 0.0003% respectively.

TL;DR: In this article, the authors explore whether intelligence of nations is related to gender inequality, measured by Social Institutions and Gender Index (SIGI), in developing countries and find that, on average, a 10-point increase in national IQ scores in the developing world is associated with an 8.2 point reduction in SIGI, ceteris paribus.
Abstract: This paper makes an attempt to explore whether intelligence of nations is related to gender inequality, measured by Social Institutions and Gender Index (SIGI), in developing countries. Related literature robustly links intelligence to economic development, poverty, quality of institutions and informal economic activity. Controlling for conventional antecedents of gender inequality (i.e. religion, political regime, legal origins and trade openness), this paper finds that, on average, a 10-point increase in national IQ scores in the developing world is associated with an 8.2 point reduction in SIGI, ceteris paribus. To test the robustness of our findings we apply instrumental variables (IV) and robust regression methods. We also test whether our results are sensitive to the choice of control variables and heterogeneity of nations in our sample. The negative association of intelligence with gender inequality remains statistically significant and intact in all cases.
