Characterization of copper oxide thin films deposited by the thermal evaporation of cuprous oxide (Cu2O)

TL;DR: In this paper, thin films of copper oxide were deposited by thermal evaporation of cuprous oxide (Cu 2 O) powder, and the substrates were either unheated or heated to a temperature of 300-°C.
Journal ArticleDOI

Optical properties of hafnium oxide thin films and their application in energy-efficient windows

TL;DR: In this paper, a heat mirror was built based on the hafnium oxide/silver/hafnium oxide-glass system, which was found to be transparent in the visible with an average transmittance of 72.4% and reflective in the near infrared (wavelength = 700-2000nm) with average reflectance of 67.0%.
Journal ArticleDOI

Optical properties of iron oxide (α-Fe2O3) thin films deposited by the reactive evaporation of iron

TL;DR: In this paper, thin films of hematite (α-Fe2O3) were deposited by the reactive evaporation of iron in an oxygen atmosphere and X-ray diffraction was used to verify the phase of the films and revealed that the films had a polycrystalline structure composed of nano-crystallites.
Journal ArticleDOI

Optical properties of gallium oxide films deposited by electron-beam evaporation

TL;DR: In this paper, thin films of gallium oxide were deposited by electron-beam evaporation on unheated substrates, either without oxygen, or under an oxygen partial pressure of 5×10−4 mbar.
Journal ArticleDOI

Dielectric/Ag/dielectric coated energy-efficient glass windows for warm climates

TL;DR: In this paper, a three-layer system of dielectric/metal/dielectric (D/M/D) on glass was designed and fabricated using a three layer system.
