Journal ArticleDOI

Crystalline insoluble acid salts of tetravalent metals—XXVIII synthesis of crystalline Ti(HPO4)2·2H2O by the HF procedure and some comments on its formation and structure☆

TL;DR: In this article, the crystal structure of Ti(HPO4)2·2H2O has been derived from the formation of intercalation compounds, X-ray powder patterns and density measurements, as well as from comparison with several acid salts of tetravalent metals.
Journal ArticleDOI

Synthesis and ion-exchange properties of zirconium bis-(carboxymethanephosphonate), a new organic-inorganic ion exchanger

TL;DR: By slowly decomposing zirconium fluoro-complexes in the presence of trimethylphosphonoacetate, a crystalline compound of formula Zr(HOOCCH 2 PO 3 ) 2 has been obtained.
Journal ArticleDOI

Derivatives of α-zirconium phosphate with two different functional groups

TL;DR: In this article, the synthesis of derivatives of α-zirconium phosphate having the general formula Zr(RPO3)x(R′PO3)-2−x (where R and R′ are generally organic radicals, but may also indicate −H or −OH groups) have been achieved by precipitating a mixture of two phosphonic acids with a zirconsium salt in the presence of hydrofluoric acid.
Journal ArticleDOI

Ion-exchange properties of γ-titanium phosphate and its monosodium forms towards Mg2+ and Ca2+ ions

TL;DR: In this article, the ion exchange in a layered inorganic ion exchanger with a γ-structure towards Mg 2+ and Ca 2+ ions was investigated by determining the uptake curves as a function of the pH of equilibrating solutions.
