Abstract: This paper presents energy reduction with anticontrol of chaos for nonholonomic mobile robot system. Anticontrol of chaos is also called chaotification, meaning to chaotify an originally non-chaotic system, and in this paper error of mobile robot system has been synchronized with chaotic gyroscope for reducing energy and increasing performance. The benefits of chaos synchronization with mechanical systems have led us to an innovation in this paper. The main purpose is that the control system in the presence of chaos work with lower control cost and control effort has been reduced. For comparison of proposed method, the feedback linearization controller has also been designed for mobile robot with noise. Finally, the efficacies of the proposed method have been illustrated by simulations, energy of control signals has been calculated, and effect of Alpha (: a constant coefficient is used beside of chaotic system) variations on the energy of control signals has been checked.

Abstract: Increasing the input dimension cause curse of dimensions which make the inefficiency of methods, especially in analysis and interpretation practically. In this paper, a new two-part structure for fault diagnosing and identifying (FDI) of high-dimension systems has been presented. The first part of which consists of Auto-Encoder (AE) as Deep Neural Networks (DNNs) to produce features engineering process and summarize the features, and the second part Local Models Networks (LMNs) with LOcal LInear MOdel Tree (LOLIMOT) algorithm to model outputs. Then the residual which generated by comparing output of system and obtained models in each condition is used to alarm faults. Standard laboratory Gas Turbine data is the case study for this structure. Finally, by comparing the simulated results with the several reliable works, the effectiveness of this proposed structure is well illustrated.

Abstract: This paper describes hybrid multivariate methods: Fisher’s Discriminant Analysis and Principal Component Analysis improved by Genetic Algorithm. These methods are good techniques that have been used to detect faults during the operation of industrial processes. In this study, score and residual space of modified PCA and modified FDA are applied to the Tennessee Eastman Process simulator and show that modified PCA and modified FDA are more proficient than PCA and FDA for detecting faults.

Abstract: This paper proposes the chaos control and the modified projective synchronization methods for chaotic dissipative gyroscope systems. Because of the nonlinear terms of the gyroscope system, the system exhibits chaotic motions. Occasionally, the extreme sensitivity to initial states in a system operating in chaotic mode can be very destructive to the system because of unpredictable behavior. In order to improve the performance of a dynamic system or avoid the chaotic phenomena, it is necessary to control a chaotic system with a periodic motion beneficial for working with a particular condition. As chaotic signals are usually broadband and noise like, synchronized chaotic systems can be used as cipher generators for secure communication. This paper presents chaos synchronization of two identical chaotic motions of symmetric gyroscopes. Using the variable structure control technique, control laws are established which guarantees the chaos control and the modified projective synchronization. By Lyapunov stability theory, control lows are proposed to ensure the stability of the controlled and synchronized system. Numerical simulations are presented to verify the proposed control and the synchronization approach. This paper demonstrates that synchronization and anti-synchronization can coexist in dissipative gyroscope systems via variable structure control.

Abstract: 527 articles related to imbalanced data and rare events are reviewed.Viewing reviewed papers from both technical and practical perspectives.Summarizing existing methods and corresponding statistics by a new taxonomy idea.Categorizing 162 application papers into 13 domains and giving introduction.Some opening questions are discussed at the end of this manuscript. Rare events, especially those that could potentially negatively impact society, often require humans decision-making responses. Detecting rare events can be viewed as a prediction task in data mining and machine learning communities. As these events are rarely observed in daily life, the prediction task suffers from a lack of balanced data. In this paper, we provide an in depth review of rare event detection from an imbalanced learning perspective. Five hundred and seventeen related papers that have been published in the past decade were collected for the study. The initial statistics suggested that rare events detection and imbalanced learning are concerned across a wide range of research areas from management science to engineering. We reviewed all collected papers from both a technical and a practical point of view. Modeling methods discussed include techniques such as data preprocessing, classification algorithms and model evaluation. For applications, we first provide a comprehensive taxonomy of the existing application domains of imbalanced learning, and then we detail the applications for each category. Finally, some suggestions from the reviewed papers are incorporated with our experiences and judgments to offer further research directions for the imbalanced learning and rare event detection fields.

Abstract: Feature selection is an important task in data mining and machine learning to reduce the dimensionality of the data and increase the performance of an algorithm, such as a classification algorithm. However, feature selection is a challenging task due mainly to the large search space. A variety of methods have been applied to solve feature selection problems, where evolutionary computation (EC) techniques have recently gained much attention and shown some success. However, there are no comprehensive guidelines on the strengths and weaknesses of alternative approaches. This leads to a disjointed and fragmented field with ultimately lost opportunities for improving performance and successful applications. This paper presents a comprehensive survey of the state-of-the-art work on EC for feature selection, which identifies the contributions of these different algorithms. In addition, current issues and challenges are also discussed to identify promising areas for future research.
