Journal ArticleDOI
A Novel Medical Diagnosis model for COVID-19 infection detection based on Deep Features and Bayesian Optimization.
TL;DR: A cheap, fast, and reliable intelligence tool has been provided for COVID-19 infection detection, and the developed model can be used to assist field specialists, physicians, and radiologists in the decision-making process.
Journal ArticleDOI
The effect of crosslinking temperature on the permeability of PDMS membranes: Evidence of extraordinary CO2 and CH4 gas permeation
Kyle J. Berean,Jian Zhen Ou,Majid Nour,Kay Latham,Christopher S. McSweeney,David Paull,Andri Halim,Sandra E. Kentish,Cara M. Doherty,Anita J. Hill,Kourosh Kalantar-zadeh +10 more
TL;DR: In this article, the effect of crosslinking temperature on gas permeability of polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) membranes was investigated and an optimum temperature of 75°C at which the permeability increased was found.
Journal ArticleDOI
CNT/PDMS composite membranes for H2 and CH4 gas separation
Majid Nour,Kyle J. Berean,Sivacarendran Balendhran,Jian Zhen Ou,Johan du Plessis,Christopher S. McSweeney,Madhu Bhaskaran,Sharath Sriram,Kourosh Kalantar-zadeh +8 more
TL;DR: In this paper, polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) composites with different weight amounts of multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNT) were synthesized as membranes to evaluate their gas separation properties.
Journal ArticleDOI
Enhanced Gas Permeation through Graphene Nanocomposites
Kyle J. Berean,Jian Zhen Ou,Majid Nour,Matthew R. Field,Manal M. Y. A. Alsaif,Yichao Wang,Rajesh Ramanathan,Vipul Bansal,Sandra E. Kentish,Cara M. Doherty,Anita J. Hill,Christopher S. McSweeney,Richard B. Kaner,Kourosh Kalantar-zadeh +13 more
TL;DR: In this article, a polymer nanocomposite that incorporates graphene and polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) was used for gas permeation and phase separation, and the authors reported that the resulting interfacial voids between the graphene flakes and polymer chains increased the fractional free volume within the nanocomposition, giving rise to an increase in permeation.
Journal ArticleDOI
The Effect of Training and Testing Process on Machine Learning in Biomedical Datasets
TL;DR: The effect of the training and testing process on performance in machine learning in detail is examined in detail and the use of sampling theorems for the trainingand testing process is proposed.
