TL;DR: The effectiveness of the proposed scheme, proven through experiments on various medical images through various image quality measure matrices enables it to be argued that, the method will help to maintain Electronic Patient Report (EPR)/DICOM data privacy and medical image integrity.
Abstract: In this article, a new fragile, blind, high payload capacity, ROI (Region of Interest) preserving Medical image watermarking (MIW) technique in the spatial domain for gray scale medical images is proposed. We present a watermarking scheme that combines lossless data compression and encryption technique in application to medical images. The effectiveness of the proposed scheme, proven through experiments on various medical images through various image quality measure matrices such as PSNR, MSE and MSSIM enables us to argue that, the method will help to maintain Electronic Patient Report(EPR)/DICOM data privacy and medical image integrity.

TL;DR: The usage of Hadamard transform as signal decomposition tool offers advantages in terms of simpler implementation, low computation cost and high resiliency at low quality compression considering both JPEG and JPEG 2000 framework.
Abstract: The paper proposes a digital image watermarking scheme that selects regions for data embedding based on information measure. Two valued kernels of Hadamard transformation cause smaller image information change during embedding compared to other transform domains such as DCT (discrete cosine transform), DFT (discrete Fourier transform), Fourier–Mellin and wavelet-based embedding. Moreover, the usage of Hadamard transform as signal decomposition tool offers advantages in terms of simpler implementation, low computation cost and high resiliency at low quality compression considering both JPEG and JPEG 2000 framework. Compression resiliency is further improved using adaptive negative modulation. These facts are validated comparing the performance with some other existing watermarking schemes as well as DCT domain implementation of the proposed scheme.

TL;DR: Partitioning the database by a NN-based pre-classifier, and using a fuzzy based feature evaluation scheme, the performance of the proposed scheme has been found to improved drastically by reducing the retrieval time and increasing the accuracy.
Abstract: In this article, we have proposed an interactive image retrieval scheme using MPEG-7 visual features, Neural Network (NN)-based pre-classifier and fuzzy based feature evaluation scheme. The performance of the existing image retrieval systems is generally limited due to semantic gap, resulted due to the discrepancies between the computed low-level features and user's conception of an image. Partitioning the database by a NN-based pre-classifier, and using a fuzzy based feature evaluation scheme, the performance of the proposed scheme has been found to improved drastically by reducing the retrieval time and increasing the accuracy.
