Journal ArticleDOI
The wound healing and antibacterial potential of triple-component nanocomposite (chitosan-silver-sericin) films loaded with moxifloxacin
TL;DR: The prepared films indicated a remarkable wound healing applications with successful fibrosis, collagen reorganization, neovascularization, and mild epidermal regeneration after 7 days of treatment with no silver ions detection in animal's blood.
Journal ArticleDOI
Developmental nicotine exposure induced alterations in behavior and glutamate receptor function in hippocampus
Kodeeswaran Parameshwaran,Manal Ali Buabeid,Senthilkumar S. Karuppagounder,Subramaniam Uthayathas,Karikaran Thiruchelvam,Brian C. Shonesy,Alexander Dityatev,Alexander Dityatev,Martha Escobar,Muralikrishnan Dhanasekaran,Vishnu Suppiramaniam +10 more
TL;DR: It is suggested that prenatal nicotine exposure by maternal smoking could result in alterations in the glutamatergic system in the hippocampus contributing to the abnormal neurobehavioral outcomes.
Journal ArticleDOI
Doxorubicin-induced neurotoxicity is associated with acute alterations in synaptic plasticity, apoptosis, and lipid peroxidation
Ahmad Alhowail,Jenna Bloemer,Mohammed Majrashi,Priyanka D. Pinky,Subhrajit Bhattacharya,Zhang Yongli,Dwipayan Bhattacharya,Matthew Eggert,Lauren N. Woodie,Manal Ali Buabeid,Nathaniel Johnson,Alyssa Broadwater,Bruce F. Smith,Muralikrishnan Dhanasekaran,Robert D. Arnold,Vishnu Suppiramaniam +15 more
TL;DR: Data indicates that acute Dox exposure dose-dependently impairs synaptic processes associated with hippocampal neurotransmission, induces apoptosis, and increases lipid peroxidation leading to neurotoxicity.
Journal ArticleDOI
Emerging Prospects for Nanoparticle-Enabled Cancer Immunotherapy.
TL;DR: The modes of cancer immunotherapy are described to reveal the importance of nanoparticles in this modality but also narrates nanoparticle-mediated delivery of cancer antigens and therapeutic supplements.
Journal ArticleDOI
Synthesis, in vitro characterization and antibacterial efficacy of moxifloxacin-loaded chitosan-pullulan-silver-nanocomposite films
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors reported the facile synthesis, in-vitro characterization and antibacterial efficacy of novel moxifloxacin (Mox)-loaded chitosan-pullulan-silver-nanocomposite (CSPN) films.
