Journal ArticleDOI
Autonomous system for oil pipelines inspection
Jun Okamoto,Júlio Cezar Adamowski,Marcos de Sales Guerra Tsuzuki,Flávio Buiochi,Claudio Soligo Camerini +4 more
TL;DR: In this paper, an ultrasonic pig with 16 ultrasonic transducers with on-board energy system and acquisition and storage systems was developed to detect corrosion in the bottom part of the pipeline due to accumulation of water and other corrosive substances.
Journal ArticleDOI
Simulated annealing with adaptive neighborhood: A case study in off-line robot path planning
TL;DR: In the proposed SA algorithm, the sensitivity of each continuous parameter is evaluated at each iteration increasing the number of accepted solutions, and each parameter is associated to its probability distribution in the definition of the next candidate.
Journal ArticleDOI
A review of electrical impedance tomography in lung applications: Theory and algorithms for absolute images
Thiago de Castro Martins,André Kubagawa Sato,Fernando Silva de Moura,Erick Dario León Bueno de Camargo,Olavo Luppi Silva,Talles Batista Rattis Santos,Zhanqi Zhao,Zhanqi Zhao,Knut Moeller,Marcelo Brito Passos Amato,Jennifer L. Mueller,Raul Gonzalez Lima,Marcos de Sales Guerra Tsuzuki +12 more
TL;DR: A review of some procedures that are contributing to improve spatial resolution and material properties accuracy, admitivitty or impeditivity accuracy of Electrical Impedance Tomography is presented.
Journal ArticleDOI
Churn Prediction in Online Games Using Players’ Login Records: A Frequency Analysis Approach
TL;DR: This work proposes a frequency analysis approach for feature representation from login records for churn prediction modeling, and shows satisfactory results, being able to theoretically increase the retention campaigns profits in more than 20% over the RFM approach.
Journal ArticleDOI
Image Reconstruction Using Interval Simulated Annealing in Electrical Impedance Tomography
Thiago de Castro Martins,Erick Dario León Bueno de Camargo,Raul Gonzalez Lima,Marcelo B. P. Amato,Marcos de Sales Guerra Tsuzuki +4 more
TL;DR: A variation of SA is proposed in which the objective function is evaluated only partially, while ensuring boundaries on the behavior of the modified algorithm.
