Book ChapterDOI

Self-Assembly of Amphiphilic Block Copolymers in Selective Solvents

TL;DR: This chapter discusses the basic principles governing amphiphilic block copolymer self-organisation in solutions and the variety of morphologies observed so far, as well as the experimental techniques available for characterising such nanostructures.
Journal ArticleDOI

Complexation of lysozyme with poly(sodium(sulfamate-carboxylate)isoprene).

TL;DR: The interaction between HEWL and SCPI was found to be mainly electrostatic, associated with an exothermic enthalpy change, and the structural investigation of the complexed protein by fluorescence, infrared, circular dichroism spectroscopic, and differential scanning calorimetric measurements revealed no signs of denaturation upon complexation.
Journal ArticleDOI

Complexation of cationic-neutral block polyelectrolyte with insulin and in vitro release studies.

TL;DR: Insulin (INS) was incorporated into complexes with the block polyelectrolyte quaternized poly[3,5-bis(dimethylaminomethylene)hydroxystyrene]-b-poly(ethylene oxide) (QNPHOSEO), which is a cationic-neutral block poly Electrolyte.
Journal ArticleDOI

Micellar and fractal aggregates formed by two triblock terpolymers with different arrangements of one charged, one neutral hydrophilic and one hydrophobic block

TL;DR: In this article, the authors studied the self-assembled structures of two triblock amphiphilic polyelectrolytes of different topologies, containing a charged poly[sodium(sulfamate/carboxylate)isoprene] (SCPI) block, a polystyrene (PS) hydrophobic block and a hydrophilic neutral poly(ethylene oxide) (PEO) block in aqueous solutions.
