TL;DR: In this paper, the authors analyze the challenges associated with distance education during the current pandemic of the new coronavirus and highlight the importance of remote education in the context of previous pandemics.
EnglishRemote education has gained an important place in education in these times of social isolation caused by the pandemic of the new coronavirus. This modality was adopted on an emergency basis, in several countries, as an alternative to guarantee the continuity of the teaching-learning process. However, important changes were brought about, both in relation to its target audience, and in the lives of several actors (teachers, students, parents) due to this necessary adaptation. In order to analyze this educational modality, the text was organized in order to contemplate three points: the context, what we learned with previous pandemics, and the main difficulties associated with distance education during the current pandemic. portuguesO ensino a distância (EaD) tem ganhado importante espaco na educacao nesses tempos de isolamento social causado pela pandemia do novo coronavirus. TL;DR: In this paper, the authors describe an experience in the Integrated Center of Formation of Langreo (Asturias-Spain) comparing with traditional methodology in the process of formation in new technologies of information, works with descriptive and experimental methodologies.
EnglishThis paper describes an experience in the Integrated Center of Formation of Langreo (Asturias-Spain). Formation with new technologies in a new educative model is compared with traditional methodology. The project reconsiders the process of formation in new technologies of Information, works with descriptive and experimental methodologies (i.e. election of population/pupils object of study, not by random sampling) applying these innovating techniques to the students. The data obtained is compared with a control group that continues with the traditional approach. The introduction of this new model increased the number of people registered in the public educational centers. Although it did not generate significant increases in scholastic performance, it permitted observing how an educative community adapts to European criteria with new methods of learning.
