TL;DR: In this paper, the synthesis, characterization and cytotoxic activity of gold(III) complexes containing N1-acylacetamidrazones was reported and the complexes have general formula AuX3(L), where X = Cl, Br and L = amidrazone ligands.
Abstract: The synthesis, characterization and cytotoxic activity of gold(III) complexes containing N1-acylacetamidrazones is reported. The complexes have general formula AuX3(L), where X = Cl, Br and L = amidrazone ligands. In all cases, the complexes appear to be monomeric and square planar.

TL;DR: It is reported that a newly identified metabolite of quetiapine, N-desalkylquetiAPine, can be used as an indicative marker of quetsiapines-intake in urine using common GC-MS screening procedure.
Abstract: Quetiapine fumarate (Seroquel®) is an atypical antipsychotic dibenzothiazepine derivative. Due to its extensive hepatic metabolism and low level of unchanged excretion (< 1%) the routine toxicological drug-screening analyses of urine often leads to false negative results. In the present study, we report that a newly identified metabolite of quetiapine, N-desalkylquetiapine, can be used as an indicative marker of quetiapine-intake in urine using common GC-MS screening procedure. The structure of the mentioned metabolite was solved from the mass-spectrum obtained and the quetiapine presence was proved by consequent HPLC plasma analysis.

TL;DR: The crystal structures of four cycloalkanespiro-4'-imidazolidine-2',5'-dithiones, namely cyclopentanepiro, 4-IMIDZolidine 2, 5-dithione, cycloheptane-2,4]-nonane and cyclooctane ring assume both boat-chair and boat-boat conformations.
Abstract: The crystal structures of four cycloalkanespiro-4'-imidazolidine-2',5'-dithiones, namely cyclopentanespiro-4'-imidazolidine-2',5'-dithione {systematic name: 1,3-diazaspiro[4.4]-nonane-2,4-dithione}, C 7 H 10 N 2 S 2 , cyclohexanespiro-4'-imidazolidine-2',5'-dithione (systematic name: 1,3-diazaspiro[4.5]-decane-2,4-dithione), C 8 H 12 N 2 S 2 , cycloheptanespiro-4'-imidazolidine-2',5'-dithione (systematic name: 1,3-diazaspiro[4.6]-undecane-2,4-dithione), C 9 H 14 N 2 S 2 , and cyclooctanespiro-4'-imidazolidine-2',5'-dithione (systematic name: 1,3-diazaspiro[4.7]dodecane-2,4-dithione), C 10 H 16 N 2 S 2 , have been determined. The three-dimensional packing in all of the structures is based on closely similar chains, in which hydantoin moieties are linked through N-H···S hydrogen bonding. The size of the cycloalkane moiety influences the degree of its deformation. In the cyclooctane compound, the cyclooctane ring assumes both boat-chair and boat-boat conformations.

TL;DR: In this paper, the structure and coordination modes of paramagnetic complexes with biuret (BiuH2) were studied using magnetochemical and spectroscopic (EPR, IR, ESCA) methods.
Abstract: New monomeric Pd(III) and dimeric (Pd(III)-Pd(II)) paramagnetic complexes with biuret (BiuH2) were synthesized and their structures and coordination modes studied using magnetochemical and spectroscopic (EPR, IR, ESCA) methods. For the monomeric species a metal to ligand ratio 1:2 was found and for the dimeric one it was 2:3. A distorted rhombic structure was suggested for the [Pd(III)(Biu)2]− species. For the dimeric complex it was accepted that one of the biuret molecules is serving as bridging ligand coordinated via both NH-groups to one of the palladium ions and via both C=O groups to the other. A distorted rhombic structure is suggested for each of the palladium ions. Referee I: W. A. Donaldson Referee II: N. M. Kostic
