TL;DR: In this paper, the authors examined the effect of various by-product materials on the development of high quality self-compacting concrete mixtures, and found that byproduct materials had a significant impact on the quality of SCC mixtures.
Abstract: © 2008 Taylor & Francis Group, London. Self-Compacting Concrete (SCC) is an advanced type of concrete that can flow under its own weight, completely filling formwork and achieving full compaction, even in the presence of congested reinforcement. In hardened state, SCC is dense, homogeneous and has similar engineering properties as the traditionally vibrated concrete. The current study examines the effect of various by-product materials on the development of high quality SCC mixtures.
