Spontaneous hemoperitoneum in pregnancy (SHiP) and endometriosis - A systematic review of the recent literature.

TL;DR: Spontaneous Hemoperitoneum in Pregnancy is a very serious complication of pregnancy, highly associated with adverse pregnancy outcomes and particularly relevant to women with endometriosis, therefore increasing the awareness and recognition of SHiP is crucial to improve pregnancy outcomes.
Journal ArticleDOI

Hysteroscopic proximal tubal occlusion versus laparoscopic salpingectomy as a treatment for hydrosalpinges prior to IVF or ICSI: an RCT.

TL;DR: In the treatment of hydrosalpinges prior to IVF/ICSI, hysteroscopic proximal occlusion by intratubal devices is inferior to laparoscopic salpingectomy, and the ongoing pregnancy rates per patient according to the intention-to-treat principle are poor.
Journal ArticleDOI

Patient-Controlled Remifentanil Analgesia as Alternative for Pethidine with Midazolam During Oocyte Retrieval in IVF/ICSI Procedures: A Randomized Controlled Trial.

TL;DR: This study investigated whether PCA remifentanil with diclofenac was associated with improved periprocedural pain relief than pethidine analgesia during IVF/ICSI procedures, with sedation scores, safety profiles, and patient satisfaction as secondary endpoints.
Journal ArticleDOI

Decidual Bleeding as a Cause of Spontaneous Hemoperitoneum in Pregnancy and Risk of Preterm Birth

TL;DR: During pregnancy, a link seems to exist between ectopic decidualization, particularly that occurring in endometriotic foci, and occurrence of Spontaneous hemoperitoneum in pregnancy, which may be a potential risk factor for preterm labour.
