Positive Cross‐Match Living Donor Kidney Transplantation: Longer‐Term Outcomes
Abdolreza Haririan,J Nogueira,Debra KuKuruga,Eugene J. Schweitzer,John R. Hess,C. Gurk-Turner,S. Jacobs,C. Drachenberg,S. T. Bartlett,Mark E. Cooper +9 more
TL;DR: A retrospective cohort study of LDKT with PXM by flow cytometry performed at the authors' center during February 1999 to October 2006, compared to a control group, matched 1:1 for age, sex, race, retransplantation and transplant year.
Journal ArticleDOI
A survey of the 2010 quartz crystal microbalance literature
Robert Speight,Mark E. Cooper +1 more
TL;DR: There has been an increase in the number of papers published involving piezoelectric acoustic sensors, or quartz crystal microbalances (QCM), when compared to the last period reviewed 2006-2009 as mentioned in this paper.
Journal ArticleDOI
Inflammasome activity is essential for one kidney/deoxycorticosterone acetate/salt-induced hypertension in mice.
Shalini M Krishnan,Jennifer K. Dowling,Yeong Hann Ling,Henry Diep,Christopher T. Chan,Dorota Ferens,Michelle M Kett,Anita A. Pinar,Chrishan S. Samuel,Antony Vinh,Thiruma V. Arumugam,Thiruma V. TL;DR: This work investigated whether hypertension in mice is associated with increased expression and/or activation of the inflammasome in the kidney, and if inhibition of inflammaome activity reduces BP, markers of renal inflammation and fibrosis.
Journal ArticleDOI
Industry-Scale Evaluation of Maize Hybrids Selected for Increased Yield in Drought-Stress Conditions of the US Corn Belt
Jim Gaffney,Jeff Schussler,C. Löffler,Weiguo Cai,Steve Paszkiewicz,Carlos D. Messina,Jeremy J. Groeteke,Joe Keaschall,Mark E. Cooper +8 more
TL;DR: The combined results from research and on-farm testing throughout the US Corn Belt over the 6-yr period from 2008 to 2013 indicate that the AQUAmax hybrids offer farmers greater yield stability under water-limited conditions with no yield penalty when the water limitations are relieved and growing conditions are favorable.
Journal ArticleDOI
Role of endothelium-derived nitric oxide in the pathogenesis of the renal hemodynamic changes of experimental diabetes.
TL;DR: It is suggested that increased renal production and/or sensitivity to endothelium-derived relaxing factor/NO may play a role in the genesis of diabetic hyperfiltration.
